These are the paddles you let your friends who are new to pickleball ... borrow, knowing they may never be returned.

True, but someone who is new should play with garbage paddles at least a few times before committing $100. Maybe even try a nice paddle of a friend for a few games.

A beginner what have any idea what a drop, spin, touch, reset etc mean.

I think I agree with you. These are the kind of paddles that you beat your opponents with to embarrass them. Similar to the idea of using a wooden ladle spoon. Jk

It is 1 per code, meaning ideally you get as many sets, as the number of codes you have (I know there is no code here, but think of it like that). So ideally if you have 4 lines, it can potentially be 4 sets. Different stores implement their own rules to limit/advocate for number of people who can get these.

I agree with this as well. If I saw this at Walmart on clearance for $.50/paddle I would pass. I probably wouldn't even think it was for pickleball because of the materials. My T-Mobile store is temporarily closed so I had to drive to a neighboring town and it wasn't worth my time and effort.

I'm actually surprised that they are heavier (wouldn't use the term sturdy as I'm sure they will break quickly) than I thought they would be. Better than some other of the cheap ones I've received.

I'm with the others, great entry to try out the game, let the kids use, or give to tag a longs that don't have their own

The quality of the pickle exceeded my expectations and much better than what the pic shows. I played a lot of tennis may be will give this a try. Definitely worth getting with all the lines.

Just got pickleball paddle. It is worse than expectation. Ball do not bounce of this paddle, it just absorbs ball hit. It will tequire lot of force and effort to send ball over net.

Among all items from T-Mobile, umbrella seems to be the best one.

Unusual SD tip, but call before you come. I drove to one, OOS, called another and they were OOS. Called the third one and they had plenty and they have no clue why other stores were already out before noon. I was the only person when I came in but a long line picked up afterwards.
