I mean this is a decent deal but i think the nexus power station is outdated at this point. You can get more power (1000-1200 wh vs 900 wh) and a UPS mode, wheel, etc. for the same money

Only advantage is if you already have tons of batteries and dont have these tools

This nexus will get replaced soon. The new 400w inverter ($149) supports pass through charging and usb-c. This one doesn't have either. A 5.0 aH battery is around 250w. Let's say you pay $180 for a battery. That's $800 worth of batteries + a $500 nexus for 1kWh of power. So you're paying roughly $1,300 for 1kWh, where ecoflow or anker systems are cheaper per kwh and more portable.

Could you be more specific with the better power station with those features? Price and link?

One example - anker/others offering more than double the power -- it's of course not modular but again i don't know if it's worth getting into the EGO ecosystem just for the battery bank unless you have tons of batteries. This one gives you far more utility/functionality for the same money.

Thanks. I'm in the EGO family already, but I only have a few batteries. The Anker isn't really the "same money" because the EGO comes with a chainsaw and a blower, which I would probably sell, because I already have a chainsaw and a blower. So I put the net price of the power station and batteries at $750 - $800. But I take your point, the Anker is much better for 20-25% more money.

You can get just the inverter and battery kit from Acme tools or Walmart for $899. Walmart Discover 5% cashback brings price closer to $850.

This sounds like a deal for someone who happens to want an inverter as well as a blower and chainsaw lol.

If you want all the items, this would be worth it. They recently had the 16" chainsaw with battery for $210. This is a weaker blower that is typically around for $200 with battery or $100 standalone. So you're looking at 8aH battery plus tools for around $400. Another 7.5aH battery would be roughly $300 (there was a $180 for a 5.0aH deal), so for $200 you get a nexus. The only caveat would be you don't have individual chargers so you have to use the nexus to charge. If you are already in the ecosystem, this is a bad bundle.

TLDR: If you need everything, you're basically paying $200-300 for the nexus power station even with slick deals.

I bought this bundle, the batteries alone are worth the money.

I purchased this Power Station about 2 years ago, found it at Lowes for $599 with 2 5ah batteries, ALREADY in the EGO platform and I mean for certain times it saved my but when power went out, being I work from home etc, BUT as mentioned by others, it is outdated. My biggest issue is that the EGO batteries do safely discharge themselves after a period of No Use time, which I get it, BUT in the time of emergency, I shouldn't stress whether my batteries are less than Fully Charged. I purchased the EcoFlow Max 2 and LOVE IT. I still enjoy my Nexus powerststion and from time to time remember to recharge the batteries in the event, but would not be my 1st choice, plus unless you have a Fast Charger for the EGO batteries, the powerstation charge times are almost laughable. Just My Opinion.
