seems slick with 30% tax credit. downside is you can't charge the extra batteries without the primary unit.

Slightly higher than the Delta 2 for $411. That was 40.1c/wh. This deal is 40.5c/wh.

The use cases for the Delta 2 and this are pretty different though.

10k kwh and no 240v. You need 2 of the main units to get 240v.

You can charge the "smart" batteries separately from the main unit with the Delta Smart Generator, maybe the Wave 2 as well?

it's an interesting deal. but hate the extra battery sizing and form factor for this. makes it take up too much space as it doesn't stack vertically like the ultra.

i think in the next 12 months we're going to see some really nice pricing. there's just too much competition and offerings. Even within the same company there's too many offerings. just way too much. i think patience will pay off and i would recommend pulling the trigger only if you must.

Define "must". I would argue by then, it's already to late. If you plan on using this at all during an outage, then don't have the luxury to wait until when they need it. Every technology item will eventually go down in price, and all of them will be replaced with a newer (and most of the time better). It's a matter of how much patience you are willing to have to save money vs the risk of needing it. Ask the people who went through Beryl how much more they would be willing to pay for something like this.
Don't try to overcomplicate this... it's not that hard. If you need it for Beryl then go ahead. Everyone's need is different so I can't "define" it like your post asks. Use common sense. If you're considering this in a hurricane zone your urgency is higher. If you're like me and trying to get free AC then you may be able to wait.

And yes, no kidding tech will eventually go down in price.... I'm not talking about that though. I'm saying if you look at the offerings right now it's pretty obvious that there's just way too many offerings. From old gen stock of lithium battery power stations to lithium phosphate. Just look at ecoflow in the medium-large capacity space there's the Delta, the Delta 2, the max, the pro, the ultra (and others)... you got a TON of different bundle options too this with solar panel this without.... now within the <1000 space within EF there's the River, there's the "lite" version sold I believe at Walmart, there's the PRO, there's the River 2.... and that's all within the same brand! If you are even kind of paying attention to power stations it's obvious that they just have too many lines. And so I'm saying that it's very likely that we'll see some rapid drops (we're already starting to see it). It's not rocket science and it isn't the "prices will always be cheaper later" that you described. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about too much competition, too many model #s = price drop so wait if you can.

Duh. It was the same story line last year and will be the same story line next year. Some real nice wisdom there. If you think there are a lot of offerings now, what do you think it will be next year. The year after that?
For people who went through Beryl, it's already too late. By the time they already have an outage, they won't get it for days to weeks. I am tired of every literally single thread on these batteries, someone pointing out get it only if you need it. It's extremely insensitive to people who are literally going through a days to weeks without power.
No it's not the same every year. Lithium phosphate is a newer tech. Right now we have 2 different generations of offerings with diff battery types. It wasn't always like that. Before it was just lithium. Look at Jackery they still can't get rid of old gen stock. From Ecoflow the Delta Pro 3 just came out. Like couple weeks ago. Right now we have more offerings than last year. DUH. So no, it's not the same as last year. We have more offerings now and we're in the transition out of older gen battery. As I've said before the sku count is bloated for any given capacity of power station. even if you look at within just EF it's bloated.

It's only insensitive to people like you who cry over something that's not even insulting. Look at my original post there's nothing insensitive about it. You have chosen to make it that way because you fail to look at it with common sense 🤣. Instead of getting tired of "every literally single thread on these batteries" maybe you should see that YOUR bad intake of people's posts is the issue not people's posts.

There is a limited number of consumers willing or able to spend $4000k on backup power they might need. So I think we will see prices plummet once companies start dumping inventory.
