I bought this specifically over the trek100 to avoid the air bubble crunching sound when turning. It was fast & easy to setup and keep (under 2-3 min) and I used a pump. I used it in late spring in a car so the R value wasn't that important for me. I have no complaints and would use it for my next trip. It's obviously not as comfortable as a bed but compared to other sleeping pads I've tried (exped & lost horizon) it works well for what it costs. It's also not that heavy to be carried around.

Thanks! I'm looking for something to pack up on my motorcycle to ride through the state of Wyoming next month on all the back roads and two tracks and fire lanes. I may take a shot with this one. I'll be on the ground in a tent in a sleeping bag so I'm just looking for a little buffer.

I appreciate that. I misread it. I'm not too worried about the r rating for my application since I'll be doing summer use with it. I just wondered if the thickness of the mattress had any real impact to soften what might normally be just my sleeping bag against the tent bottom versus this mattress pad. Thanks again for that clarification on my misread.
