Imagine thinking that belittling someone over their shoe size was a flex. Grow up.

You clearly haven't worn Altras. The idea (which is correct) is that in normal shoes, even wides, our feet are crammed into shoes for aesthetics. Altras are shaped like your feet.

sadly Altra quality has dropped while their prices have gone up. probably not as much an issue with their road-runners as with their trail-runners. that said, quality at this price is well worth purchasing.
Now to see/decide which of my current Altras I'll be replacing.

So you're saying if people that normally buys 4E wide shoes in other brands. These will likely fit?

I have a narrow foot and high arches. Other shoes were causing lots of pain until I settled on the Outroad last season. Bought 3 pair and used them for daily activities, some road and light trail running. Just this week used them on some 6 mile day hikes.
They completely removed any pain from Morton's neuroma in my forefoot that would make it hard to just walk in, but the Outroads have a known issue with the side of the shoe ripping open over time. They likely won't last long. Otherwise, they are some super comfortable shoes if you have a similar foot profile.

Thanks! In for one pair, I've never worn this brand before but I'll give it a try. They look like they will be great for work.

Any rec for gym use? I like cushiony shoes like Hoka but they wobble a bit during lunges. Tried ON brand but the cushion isn't as good.

Same in re Morton's neuroma. I've been running in altras for several years after a podiatrist suggested them to avoid neuroma pain.

Poor durability is an issue. Altras tend to be extremely lightweight. Great for squishy comfort. Bad for lasting beyond a few months. I retire mine from running after about two months. Regular replacement is expensive, yes. But the neuroma pain has yet to dissipate with other brands as it does with Altras.

Great find but no shipping to AK. Has shoe in my size. Thanks for the great deal. The lone peak line is great for train running but lack ankle support for steep declines (45°). Love the original shoe style with wide toe box. Went to the Olympus 5 for steep mountain running and they do much better on the steep mountains.

If you've never worn Zero Drops before, then acclimate your feet to them over a few days. Wear just a couple hours first day, and then add more time daily over next few days. Your plantar fascia will thank you.
