Put 2 twin xls together for king. I've been happy with mine. The gap can be an issue, but they make straps for that.

I use a memory foam with mine. Parents use a much heavier latex with theirs. There are prob weight limits so look into that. Pic 4 though says it works with memory foam, latex, hybrid and innerspring though.

I couldn't care less about a wireless remote and USB. Any functional/quality difference between the basic and advanced?

weight limit of the basic is 650lbs and the advanced 750lbs so make sure you factor in the mattress weight and yourself and a possible partner. Other than that, I can't tell if the basic model has memory features/presets for the remote or not.

Just bought the advance as it looks much nicer Smilie and the basic looks like it may squeak...

With the 5% cash back from discover, it comes to $215 so I am happy.

Per page 14 of the owners manual, you can sync 2 twin xl bases together with the remote so they move together. So you can still use a king mattress instead of two twin xl with a gap.
