For that price I went ahead and made the purchase last week, and it's arriving today. But I got it for a very specific purpose (and to add to my collection). The retail price on it is nowhere near that these days, since the G100D has replaced it. Even when the G100 was new 4 years ago it had quite a few short comings and wasn't worth the price. No IBIS, 10 minute limit on 4k video, digital IS on video only - at the expense of heavy cropping, micro USB for data/charging, slow mechanical shutter, contrast detect AF. If you know what you're getting, then for this price, it's "decent" - but if it's going to be your only camera there are better options for not much more, or older models at or lower pricing.
This camera has a killer evf as mentioned by reviewers - you have to use it to understand how good it is.
Sensor in the mft realm is as good as it gets until you get into the gh5 and up range (pricey).
Stabilization for video is okay, you can check YouTube videos for this.
The kit lens is also decent and well reviewed.
For $370 you won't find better image quality anywhere else.
Most importantly, size and weight are unrivaled in this class. This thing fits in my medium sized fanny pack with no problems and was great on my recent family trip.
Sure you can get an Rx100 or ricoh gr iii for maximum portability but then you have a smaller one inch sensor and lose the ability to swap out lenses.
If you're on the fence you should buy it and take advantage of eBay's easy returns if you end up not liking it.

Can you name a couple better options? And why they're better?

Also, looking for recommendaion on a good camera for Webcasting/podcasting
If you have a cell phone, I would just use that. The video is going to look plenty good, and with near zero setup. Just point and shoot.
After that, I would recommend a 1080P webcam like the Logitech C920 series or better. Resolution might not be as nice as your phone, but the setup will be a bit easier if you plan to dedicate it to shooting for podcasts.
If you have time, which might not be best spent on this for a new podcast, then I'd recommend looking into a dslr for fun. You will have to do a lot of research on how the cameras connect, then you will also have to research if the camera's "auto picture adjustments" function while recording/streaming. Some cameras can use USB or WiFi, but they may limit the resolution that gets transmitted. Also, some cameras disable the Auto adjustments during video recording/streaming because of the noise it makes. It's a lot of time and work, and even then you might be limited too much by the lense you choose.

It has a larger sensor with Micro 4/3 so the image should be good vs the smaller sensors.
looking to upgrade to something better than my Canon m200 with the 22mm.
In my mind, G100 is better in every way than G7, unless you actually want a bulkier body to match your big fancy lens.
Both machines lack IBIS, however.

I heard that there is a hack to unlock unlimited recording but never tried myself.
