Intel just released a statement that they know what the issue is and they are working on a patch that should be here soon. Something like the CPU controller is sending signals causing improper voltage.

But if course we will see...
That's one of the issues, the other is oxidation which is a hardware-level defect and they can't fix that via patches or lowering voltages

Skytech is amazing. Great builds. Also what's similar with longer warranty?
Every major component inside this machine will have a longer warranty than 1 year (except maybe the PSU depending on the brand). CPU, Motherboard and GPU likely all have 3 years. A good SSD will be 5 years. RAM is typically lifetime. So for them to put it together and only give you 1 year makes no sense, unless they used junk fans and case.. which is unacceptable in a $3500 machine.

Anyone know which motherboard is used and whether it'll support one of the new Zen5 processors?

the AMD 7800x3d is the best performing chip on the market right now. Beats intel by a bit.

Haven't been keeping up with this but is it really THAT bad?

Seems unthinkable Intel could have a hardware level defect at this point given their long track record. How could that even happen?

The problem isn't very serious. But imagine how frustrating it would be if a player finally defeated the final boss after a hard-fought battle, only for the computer to suddenly crash and lose all their game progress.

I would not have went with that DRAM setup nor the B650, although I guess it's workable. Otherwise I like the config.

That's all a reason to build it yourself, but not a compelling reason business wise for them to offer a longer warranty.

Oh yeah, it's that bad. I wouldn't touch 13th or 14th gen chips.

I bought more AMD stock this week too.

It's pretty bad, and yes Intel has confirmed themselves there's a hardware-level defect. They claim that was a batch and that manufacturing issue has been resolved, but those affected chips were never recalled
