with all that being said, I'm chinese, I eat rice a lot, it's worth it for me. If you only cook rice once in awhile, might not be worth it to you.

I found the higher end model on AliExpress for $492. A pretty good price if you need the high pressure for sticky rice and the advertised feedback loop where it remembers and adjusts the rice based on your critiques.

That stuff is delicious.
1) brown rice that aren't dry hard
2) short-medium grain white rice as common in northeast China/Korea/Japan
3) rice congee or steel cut oatmeal
4) rice with crispy bottom
If not then no. For instance it's no use for Basmati rice.
