This is my first post so sorry if I missed anything. I just got my 2025 Leaf leased yesterday from Boulder Nissan and the price actually is $9/mo. 24 month, 10k miles per year lease. This is the cheapest monthly I've seen in CO.
Total costs:
Dealer fees + sales tax = $2300
Optional damage coverage = $600
Lease return fee = $320

Oh wait...thats because he makes it impossible for us to drill our own ouil. TO push us into the EVs.

Rule of thumb: At the end of it all, your total cost of lease for 24 months (excluding title registration and taxes to get plates), should not exceed $1250-$1300.
Don't be swayed by lower monthly payments. Always calculate total lease cost to compare apples to apples.

Take away the "free" government $ and then let's talk about those sectors.
I am working in southern California and I know many people with EVs who feel they made a mistake. Not enough charging infrastructure which creates long wait times to get a charger. Level 1 chargers at home get you 10% on an overnight charge.
Many EV fires out here.
EVs don't work well for long commutes.
Think about this...if we had EVs for the last hundred years and someone invents a gasoline car that can go SO much further with no charging and is cheaper to buy and no expensive batteries to replace don't you think everyone would want a gas-powered car???

While I will give you a heavier mass is harder to stop, that is true of any vehicle. To your logic we should all be driving those little two seater vehicles that are instant coffins.

I have to assume you are the typical EV owner and we can see whyt they think they get to choose for everybody by taking a look at their demographics of privilege. Snotty predominantly white college educated high earners that go into government and corporate offices are often like that. I just do not understand why we must give them EV welfare.

I do feel lying and posting information meant to deceive is not a good thing. I also wonder why you think I needed some correction for something I didn't even do when we had the other member trying to brush away and hide the significant weight difference.
I also don't like hypocrisy and will point out that large and heavy vehicle owners were quite demonized and accused of not caring for other people safety yet when another crowd wants a heavy vehicle it suddenly seems fine to risk other people's lives. Can we expect the "Killer EV ,Dude in a big headline anytime soon? If it is a consideration for gas vehicles shouldn't it also be one for EV?
