This is my first post so sorry if I missed anything. I just got my 2025 Leaf leased yesterday from Boulder Nissan and the price actually is $9/mo. 24 month, 10k miles per year lease. This is the cheapest monthly I've seen in CO.

Total costs:
Dealer fees + sales tax = $2300
Optional damage coverage = $600
Lease return fee = $320

I don't know who half of these people are. Every single person I know who owns an EV only ever plans to buy another EV.

True Americans should go EV. They are powered by American sourced energy. Why depend on anyone else. Oil is a worldwide commodity that has dragged us into international quagmires. Unless the US takes over the oil companies we will always be tied to OPEC and world price fluctuations.
Well..when the current "president" makes it impossible for the USA to drill for our own oil, of course it's going to be OPEC that we get oil from or the stupid Venezuelan govt. .I CAN'T believe a US president would even want to deal with Venezuela!
Oh wait...thats because he makes it impossible for us to drill our own ouil. TO push us into the EVs.
What a scam.

Has demand for EVs gotton so low now they have to give them away?
Not necessarily, it's just the leaf has been historically crappy car. A used Leaf can be bought for under $5k.

Compare all numbers. $21.23 sounds cheap, but the poster does not clarify if they had to pay dealership fees, acquisition fees and rebate on taxes. These things along with $500 down might add up quickly and make it a bad a deal.

Rule of thumb: At the end of it all, your total cost of lease for 24 months (excluding title registration and taxes to get plates), should not exceed $1250-$1300.

Don't be swayed by lower monthly payments. Always calculate total lease cost to compare apples to apples.
I am well aware. I am a penny pincher. He said 500 down. My assumptions come from the word down, as it mostly includes all those fees. If anything, I'll call the dealership to know more. But yes, that guy should've clarified if 500 was all inclusive.

Makes me wonder if any of these Denver cars got hit by hail recently. Dealers are sketchy and probably have a paintless dent repair guy using glue and plastic tabs to pull out dings

Where's the source to back up that claim?
EVs are affordable because the government is propping them up with subsidies. Just like wind, just like solar...
Take away the "free" government $ and then let's talk about those sectors.
I am working in southern California and I know many people with EVs who feel they made a mistake. Not enough charging infrastructure which creates long wait times to get a charger. Level 1 chargers at home get you 10% on an overnight charge.
Many EV fires out here.
EVs don't work well for long commutes.

Think about this...if we had EVs for the last hundred years and someone invents a gasoline car that can go SO much further with no charging and is cheaper to buy and no expensive batteries to replace don't you think everyone would want a gas-powered car???

"Since we're seeing pedestrian and roadway fatalities at record levels, the introduction of more weight into crashes via EVs will complicate any attempts to reduce the ongoing fatality crisis that has showed no signs of abating," Center for Auto Safety acting executive director Michael Brooks tells Axios in an email.
How can that be when DOT is saying that "40,990 people died in motor vehicle traffic crashes in 2023, a decrease of about 3.6% as compared to 42,514 fatalities reported to have occurred in 2022. The fourth quarter of 2023 represents the seventh consecutive quarterly decline in fatalities beginning with the second quarter of 2022." And "7,318 pedestrians died in vehicle crashes last year, a 5.4% decrease from the year before." This makes no sense.

While I will give you a heavier mass is harder to stop, that is true of any vehicle. To your logic we should all be driving those little two seater vehicles that are instant coffins.

I am interested in this and Littleton is lot closer. Did you have to tell them about boulder deal or schomp had their own as well?
They were the ones that told us that morning about their deal. This was the total price with tax included. No acquisition fee or anything else.

It's always funny watching majority populations realize they're losing their majority quickly, you're terrified that what you've been shoving down people's throats your whole life is going to get spun right around on you.
Care to tell me what I have ever forced down anyone's throats? I've never been in any majority expect the one of working people hanging on by the skin of our teeth. That is the same one the Soviets hated so much that they had to starve them.

Notice who does shove EVs down everyone throats and who gets rich doing it, a very well to do liberal left leaning political and corporate class. You become an enemy of the people if you do not jump on the latest party thing as we can see with your bright and hate filled mind.

I have to assume you are the typical EV owner and we can see whyt they think they get to choose for everybody by taking a look at their demographics of privilege. Snotty predominantly white college educated high earners that go into government and corporate offices are often like that. I just do not understand why we must give them EV welfare.

https://inspireadvancedtransporta...t-rundown/

As of 2020, owners of EVs were predominantly middle-aged white men earning more than $100,000 per year.

Men make up 75% of individuals who purchase battery-electric vehicles (BEVs).
People aged 55+ make up 53.6% of BEV owners.
Those earning $100,000+ annually make up 57% of BEV owners.
87% of EV owners in the U.S. are white.

$1010 was my total price and included tax. There were no additional fees. I will only have to pay the registration fee at the dmv when it comes in the mail.

I argued no point there, have no logic to follow or skin in that game. My only intent was to point out that to pretend weight difference does not exist is silly. It is well known fact that there is a significant weight difference between EV and gas.

I do feel lying and posting information meant to deceive is not a good thing. I also wonder why you think I needed some correction for something I didn't even do when we had the other member trying to brush away and hide the significant weight difference.

I also don't like hypocrisy and will point out that large and heavy vehicle owners were quite demonized and accused of not caring for other people safety yet when another crowd wants a heavy vehicle it suddenly seems fine to risk other people's lives. Can we expect the "Killer EV ,Dude in a big headline anytime soon? If it is a consideration for gas vehicles shouldn't it also be one for EV?

Killer Truck, Dude
How will you feel when it actually does?
