Pro tip: You can use multiple rewards per restaurant check. For example, you get a new diner deal from a pop up on a restaurant website via InKind, say it's $15 off $45. You can pay your bill on InKind partially by selecting to pay $45 only. On the next screen, select the $15 off $45 reward offer. Once you have used that, you can pay the rest of the balance using another reward, like a monthly benefit which is usually $10 off $30. Rewards are stackable with gift card balance, but not with InKind cashback balance, which makes this deal even sweeter. I usually stack two rewards per visit. One is from a targeted offer from InKind every month for about four different restaurants. And most of the time, those restaurants also offer a new patron reward on their website. Since I can split a check into multiple payments and I can redeem one reward each payment and pay the rest of the balance after reward redemption per payment with this gift card balance, I don't have to pay anything extra other than tips.

Also, InKind is coded as dining, so tips charged to your card is also eligible for dining category credit card bonus.

On top of that, you can claim cash back on the full bill on Seated (in NYC mostly).

This is so easy though!

It's quicker than paying with a card or cash.

Just type the check number in the app and the bill is paid immediately.

Interesting. There are a lot of restaurants available in So Cal so I just bought one. During setting up the app, I claimed the $25 off 50+ coupon at the same time. Let's see how good is this gift card.

I do pick-up all the time. You pay when you get your order. Very easy.

So you just order in person then pay the bill with the app? I didn't see the option to order pickup for restaurants near me so I thought pick up wasn't an option

Ask the cashier for the code.
Tell them you're paying with InKind and they tap a button on their POS system and viola, you're done!
Thanks! I actually purchased today and it was super easy.

I usually call and say I'd like to place an order for pickup. One exception that I've used online is Bluestone Lane where there is a choice to order and how to do it. Very Easy.

Are restaurants really ok with this payment method? I only ask because I used Groupon a lot a decade ago for restaurants, but it seemed they all hated seeing my Groupon deal.
I get that it was eating away from their profits and only offered to survive, much like their being on DoorDash today. So I'm just curious what the mindset for them is for this.
This is nothing like DoorDash. Most restaurants make a lot of money with DoorDash. The restaurants you hear complaining have no clue how to allocate costs properly when running their books. Takeout (Delivery) is way cheaper to operate than sit down customers and it's business they wouldn't otherwise have. If you visit Europe a ton of places charge extra for sit down over take out. Not much different than carry out specials our pizza places do. Which is essentially what DoorDash is. The restaurants don't send drivers they are sticking it in a bag and handing it to someone. DoorDash 30% is a drop in the bucket compared to being able to charge sit down prices and not offer the service. Most restaurants are making a killing from delivery apps. Which is why they're all pretty much on them. This app though. Offering deep discounts on sit down service. Isn't sustainable. So use these credits up as fast as you can. IMO.

Appreciate the response. This makes a lot of sense and makes me realize to not feel guilty at all about using DoorDash. Also thanks for the advice on how to go about using this service.

I believe, and may well be wrong, that inkind loans the money to the restaurants and then recoups it when users dine there. Restaurants are always strapped for cash and pay high interest.

All I know is I'm loving it. Last week they gave me $100 off $100 and I used it on a takeout place that does great business. And I was the only person in 30 minutes who used inkind!

I bought the card few weeks ago because I checked and a restaurant we frequent was on the map/app. Just tried today to go there and when I went inside to use for the first time, the restaurant was no longer on the list… bummer but now have to figure out how to use it elsewhere. Don't go out that much but now will have to find a new spot to check out. Buyer beware!

I tried to place an order several times, both logged in and in in cognito mode not as member, different credit cards used, and all orders got cancelled. So maybe deal is dead?
