I would love to see the Li-On battery technology 'trickle down' faster to the consumer market. I've been experimenting with using a USB power bank and a USB 3.1 PD development board to power my various DC networking components.
The elimination of DC -> inverter -> AC -> router power brick -> rectifier -> DC has looses at each step.

Can someone recommend- Which one of these is good enough to run a modem and router? Generally how long they can run these two devices without electricity. Not looking for expensive one so cheaper the better as long as it works for these two devices. TIA!
Thinking about grabbing the CyberPower LE850G-R Battery Backup 850VA/460W model for my 3d printer. I'm mainly focused on having surge protection and "cleaning" the power input to the printer, will this model do the trick or do I need something with sinewave for best results here?
Costco is carrying the new, not refurbished, version Model CST135UC2 which is the largest on WOOT for $129.99 - $20.00 off for $109.99. Comes with a three year warranty which makes it worth the $10 price difference from the refurbished one on WOOT in my opinion.

Hate to break it to you, but they are NOT the same. The River 2 you keep bragging about is rated for 300w max output. My 1500va cyber power unit does 800w+. If you are really running that much equipment off of it, don't be surprised if you suddenly smell something burning one day.
Why are you comparing the lowest spec PPS to the highest spec UPS?
To be fair, if one doesn't need/want built in USB charging or gigabit ethernet protection, not much has changed in the last decade or two.
In fact, they used to offer "extended runtime" capabilities (aka, additional battery packs) in the consumer mid-tier models. Now they seem reserved only for the most expensive line.
Where do I can get gigabit ethernet protection? Thanks
I keep my gear on backups. However, all backups seem to fail eventually. Likely just the battery, but it's hard for me to tell TBH. The devices don't really distinguish why they are screeching uncontrollably.
I've gone to Amazon or eBay for battery replacements. Does anyone have a good lead on trustworthy battery replacements to Cyberpower? I have at least 2 that need some new juice currently.
I did a bunch of research when I needed to replace mine and settled on Power-Sonic. They have APC and Cyberpower batteries. Maybe more brands. I bought one set a couple years ago for my APC 1500 and they did well so bought another pair about a year ago for another. Both are still going strong. ~$40 shipped on ebay.
This is not really much of a deal imo.
Woot has refurb CyberPower CST135UC-R Battery for 99.99. Ok. Sure.
Costco has new CyberPower 1350 batteries for 109.99 though. With a real warranty. https://www.costco.com/cyberpower...45557.html
Who would really want to buy the woot refurb unit to save ... $10?
If it was like $75 I'd understand but this deal kind of sucks.

Because the user I was quoting was using that specific model. Also, a 1500va is far from the highest end UPS.
Edit - Also the price. A 1500va is cheaper than a River 2, and can handle a higher wattage rating. Both systems have pros/cons, but to suggest replacing a traditional UPS with one of those for high wattage devices is foolish and flat out dangerous.

Why do you assume they use high wattage devices?
2x 50W computers: 100W
4x 20W monitors: 80W
4x 5W routers: 20W
Total: 200W
And what makes you think it's dangerous? The River 2 has overload protection. It turns off the AC output if it exceeds 300W. At worst, you lose power, unplug a few things, and then turn it back on.
Edit: At the time of writing, the River 2 240 is $142. That's 25% cheaper than the CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD3 at $190.

Amazon sells it for $190 new. At most it's 2 years old as it was released in 2022.
They downplay deals so they can dissuade people from buying stuff they're trying to flip.
