You can activate phone #1 to have the bundled 1-yr and units loaded to it. Then activate phone #2 WITH A TRANSFER from phone #1; service on phone #1 (phone number, 1-yr, units) get transferred to phone #2, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #2 get added on top, giving phone #2 two years of service and 2x the units.

If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.

Folks, just so you're aware...

The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.

It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.

No need to be insulted - for many people (for example, those who use less than 4 minutes of phone talk per day) paying $2 (and sometimes less) per month for a phone service which includes a new smartphone every year is a very good deal.

Yes, but don't use the data. Use wifi only. It's really only for emergencies.

Is this a decent phone for a 12yo kid to use ? Like does it do the basics well and is it good enough for some mobile games ? It's sooo cheap and very tempting Smilie
I got it for $55 shipped. It's a good deal. You can't find a deal like this anywhere for 2 phones.

Is your online balance check working?

I'm getting this error for several days:
Alert
We apologize, but we cannot process your transaction at this time.
Please try again later or call us at 1-800-867-7183.

What browser you use?
CS Chat is buggy at least with my setup.

You can add minutes or data or text any time, so that's worth mentioning too.
And how much that would cost?

I have seen posts of web balance checking not working. You can text BAL or USAGE to 611611 on your phone for balance.

See attachment for add-on costs. Keep in mind that Tracfone is for low-usage customers, and the add-ons are for when you unexpectedly had higher usage than usual. Those add-on costs are too high (especially for Data) if you have to top-up too often.

I forget the rates, but you can easily find them on the tracfone website.

Which is exactly what I did for myself. Last weekend I did the same thing for a friend who also had bought the old flip phone deal specifically for the purpose. Everything went smoothly.
Exactly how do you "TRANSFER?"

Just don't buy it if you need only one phone! Thinking you can wait until you need it is a definite false hope!
I bought that specific phone to harvest the time/minutes/etc from it, without knowing it had an expiration. I won't make that mistake again.

If your current phone with TF is in a TF account, you can do it all online:
1. Log into your TF account.
2. Click on ACTIVATE near the top of the screen. Select your New Phone as one that you bought from TF (not a BYOP phone).
3. You migh get a pop-up saying "Sorry, we can't complete your transaction right now. Try again later". Just click on the "X" to close the pop-up and proceed.
4. Select "I want to Keep My Number". Enter the phone number of your current phone on TF, or select it from a drop-down list.
5. TF will text a security code to your current phone to confirm that you own that phone number. Enter the security code into the screen.
6. Just follow the instructions from there on. Your current service (phone number, days, balances) will be transferred to the new phone. Then the bundled service added on top. If your current phone is using Verizon through TF, the transferred should take place immediately.
7. When your current phone stops working, restart the new phone. It should be working and receiving a Welcome text from TF.

This is good to highlight, but the derogatory remarks are misinformed. Pay-as-you-go plans exist basically everywhere. This is TWO low-end smart phones and two starter plan for $80. It's a really good deal in the right circumstances. I like keeping an emergency backup phone on a different carrier, for example.

The real insult here comes from snobbish opinions.

No, the real insult here is that nearly everywhere else in the modernized world, you'd get a LOT more for these prices. This might be a bargain for those who only are aware of USA mobile plans, but in the big picture, it's a joke. And even more so if folks don't realize it.

Just bought 1 for $56 including tax. I've been doing this annually for years to renew my parents Tracfone lines. I usually resell these phones to make this deal even cheaper.
