Does the harbor freight stripper feel good in the hand?
It feels fine for me, but I only use it 2 - 3 times per month, usually when my regular wire cutters fell to the bottom of my bag and these are right there in my bag's inside pocket facing me. I purchased the Harbor Freight ones when I went to a job site and my regular wire cutters were missing, and HF just happened to be across the street. If I'm going to do a lot of cutting/snipping, I use these. On ethernet cable, I use the $0.99 Harbor Freight scissors more than any clippers.
For a person like me who seldom uses a wire stripper, is there any downside to having one of these style instead? I've worked with some people wiring who had some self adjusting ones that were really slick, don't know much other than it seemed much handier than my cheap ones.

I do a lot of electrical work. I haven't used this brand but I absolutely despise this style stripper. They are very uncomfortable and the wire size selector seems to always migrate to the wrong spot without warning producing nicked wires. I keep one in my emergency pouch because it's small and gets the job done but I avoid using it if there is any alternative.

Irwin makes good stuff, although I actually prefer this style - they have crimpers and the ability to cut to length small screws that are common in electrical work:
(Also not a fan of the self-adjusting strippers - they never have worked well for me in the past)
This is my favorite style though (have a very old pair from JC Penny) - you can "spin" these around the wire as you're stripping them (hard to explain) but gives me the cleanest stripping...
