Draining 38 gallons of hydraulic fluid from a 1981 975 bobcat was a good start; found the water-penetration point, used this thing to pump 38 gallons back in from 5 gallon buckets after that was corrected.
Myriad things since. Dedicate a couple of short sections of hose and it's a tool for many transfer jobs

When Home depot does a "buy this, get this free" promo, nothing is actually free. They proportionately reduce the price on all the included items which means you can return or cancel one or some of the items and keep other ones for the lower promotional price.

Example... buy item 1 for $200 get item 2 ($150 value) for "free".
Total value of both items: $350
Percentage of total value of item 1: 200/350 = 4/7 = 57.1%
Actual price paid for item 1: 200 x .571 = $114.29
Actual price paid for item 2: 200 - 114.29 = $85.71
Then you can return or cancel either of those items and still maintain the pricing on the other item

I don't understand, why not just use the drain on the water heater? What am I missing? 🤔
The drain just uses gravity, what happens if you don't have a floor drain to use? This lets you push the water up out of a basement outside a house if needed.

I've been thinking about using this to remove algae from the bottom of the pool. I'll budge at this price.

I am planning to use it to cycle water slide water from the "pool" section to the "slide" section - so the water stays warm for the slide. That is how they do it in water parks. Wonder if I can run an instant water heater in between. I have an immersion transfer pump which goes inside the pool but that is an electric shock danger.
Seems like it would be better to use an actual wired pump made by a pump company instead of getting a battery powered one from a power tool company.

That's odd. I just placed the order for pickup on 2 different locations. I usually just don't pick up the item that I'm intending on returning. I then just get a call in a week or so from the HD store and they just cancel it over the phone and refund that order.
I ordered from two different stores, picked up the item I wanted and was able to cancel the unwanted item by clicking the "cancel" button on my Home Depot account.

Gravity draining a water heater can take hours. This can do it in 10 minutes or so.
Are we talking about regular home hot water heaters? What are you guys doing wrong? Forgetting to turn off the water supply? Or not opening the safety relief to break the vacuum? A 50 gallon takes 5 minutes to drain. Done tons of them.

I wonder if this could be used as the pump on a tank sprayer like you use on an ATV or small tractor? Or would it not have enough pressure? Would love to have an M18 powered version that I could easily take indoors to prevent freezing in winter.
