25+ years ago, Hunter fans used to be some of the better ones you could get. These are trash and not even DC motors. It's sad that no one makes a solid DC fan with good HA integration and without a terrible bolted-on downlight.

Did not have good experience with these fans. Bought two, returned one after a year. The one returned, had to have remote replaced and then started making terrible noise. One that I still have produces very low airflow.

I bought the Rapidan fan last time for $99 unfortunately. It has a low hum anytime the fan is running. Drives me crazy! You can even hear it on high speed. I would definitely Pass on this one!

I have found that some of the home decorators choice at depot are nicely built with dc motors and higher quality finish. I have one my home office that is absolutely silent but super powerful when turned up. Unfortunately the built in LEDs are almost always useless.

bought two of the rapidan, installed both myself with ease, one i had to get replaced from costco right away because the remote receiver was bad, otherwise both work well, i like the grey black color scheme which matches the rest of my home, solid size, not too loud, led light is ok, remote doesn't come with a wall mount so had to buy that separately, overall i like them and so far had them both for a little over a month now

Not a huge fan of remotes for ceiling fans, but I've been using three of the Avia for the last few years. They were easy to install, are quiet, and have been problem free.

About 6 years ago I had 4 Hunter ceiling fans installed in my home. 3 are going bad/gone bad. I'll be avoiding Hunter.

"Integrated LED light" Does that just mean it comes with the light, or that it's one that can't be changed out with a regular LED replacement bulb WHEN it fails?

Have heard some bad things about Hunter in the recent past. In comparison, 4/5 Hunter fans we installed in the house 25 years ago are still running fine. The 5th still runs, but makes a whiny noise if you put it above low. Might be best to avoid a new fan and try and find a low mileage used one. Smilie

It has yellow light only no change in color and lights are not replaceable.
Which one are you talking about? The Rapidfan, one of the others, or all?

Why is the cfm in 2-3k range and they market it as a large/great room fan.
In my experience good air flow starts with fans that have atleast 5k cfm but most of those have integrated led(which I personally don't like) so you can't just swap the bulbs out

The Avia has replaceable bulbs. But max 14w iirc so you're limited on brightness

I've recently installed 3 rapidan ceiling fans from Costco and I'm pretty happy. Very easy installation and pretty good air flow.

I've gotten cheap Hunter ceiling fans several years ago and they going strong. I had to install remotes on them since I don't like their chain controls. They don't push a lot of air but plenty good for small rooms.
