Correct specs on the RAM, but don't buy Silicon Power, the only RAM brand I ever bought that was defective. I didn't figure it out till after return period, and it wasn't worth it to go through their RMA claims process to get another stick of RAM. I'd just avoid it altogether. I got a TEAM 16GB for mine to get 8 + 16 = 24GB of RAM. It works fine, the extra 8GB is single-channel RAM but is still a lot faster than running out of RAM.

Install that and you get 8 + 8 = 16 GB dual-channel RAM, yes.
If I had to do it again I'd just get 8GB and call it a day, as most of the 24GB I got wound up going unused, because I abandoned plans to do heavy photo editing on my laptop and instead built a new desktop.
and why are you looking at it from the side?
the 128 nvme will be the limiting factor -- ram could be used but for many people 8 and a nvme/ssd negates a lot of that -- all depends on your usage if you are doing memory intensive things more memory will be warranted - if you plan on installing win 11 you may run into some issues -- you may be best to boot the win S mode version and switch to home -- incredibly they seem to be using hardware that win11 doesn't readily see including the trackpad which can't be used with a booted win 11 iso installer so you'll need an external mouse/trackpad -- also you'll need IRST driver to even see the nvme incredibly - add that to your win iso bootable usb if you go this route (search irst on asus.com) -- most of the unit doesn't function with win 11 stock including the trackpad and wifi and a lot of the chipset - bluetooth as well -- strangely asus drivers off their site did not work as well -- i got myasus app so it could grab the drivers and used an old wifi dongle that win could operate and was able to get the drivers (why these differ from the asus support download page is anyones guess) -- hopefully this helps if someone decides to clean install windoze from a factory state --- it may not be for everyone but if you want/need something portable that you can lose/have stolen traveling or at school/work this is a stellar machine for the $$$ - you may get lucky with an open box in good/excellent shape and save even more -- very responsive as another poster mentioned there was a serious leap at gen 12 -also many states are running back to school now so you can save on taxes making the timing on this a deal very good ... best of luck and enjoy your new system
