I've never seen Apple gift cards (Apple, not iTunes) on Discover for a discount greater than 10% (I don't watch it religiously, but did notice this today). So if you're looking to make a purchase there, good deal (maybe not "slick" but good). Normally these are 5% off (not 15% off) so your true "deal" here is only 10% additional off. You can buy up to a $200 gift card for $170. Then do it again if you want and have enough cash back built up.

I sometimes will wait for Home Depot or Lowe's gift cards to go to 20% off--but this is not bad either considering you rarely see Apple gift cards this discounted.

Log into your account on discover, go to Rewards at the top, then Redeem Cash Back, then for gift cards click "Browse it", then search for apple, you should get the splash screen shown in the picture.

Citicard offers 20% off during Black Friday/cyber Monday. If you can, wait.
Redeemed some yesterday, but now going to die with calling the customer service for hours due to failure with apple balance checkout. Somehow Apple is getting strict with using those GCs for safety issues and blocking you for no reason and the worst part is most reps have no idea what is going on. So be prepared.

Agreed. It's all part of their anti-fraud stuff which has way too many false positives. They actually closed my account last winter after decades of being a customer because they thought all the $100 Target gift cards I bought at Black Friday looked fraudulent. And if that happens and they do not reinstate your account, you cannot access nor get a refund on your Apple Balance.

I finally got someone on the phone who advocated for me when escalating because I had receipts for every gift card. But is it worth 15% to go through the hassle and the risk?

Buyer beware is all I say.

This is terrible, calling the customer service is like walking in a dark forest you never know if who is the next and whether they have the ability to help you.

What relevance is this for Discover holders? I doubt most Discover card owners have a Citi card earning points.

15% is the best I've seen for Discover redemptions on Apple, Im redeeming for some.

So this can only be purchased by the cash back balance right? We can't actually buy it with the card?

Never used my balance at their GC site. Are the cards physical that we can give as a gift, or only virtual?

It gives the option to choose physical or an e-card when you redeem.

I would agree. But I have a Best Buy card (which happens to be Citi) and this is how I get my +15% apple gift cards.

Seems like a typo for the $200 GC on the post. Also, do we need to use points for all of it? Or like 1 point is good enough and pay the rest with CC

No, you can only buy Apple GCs (or other GCs if you choose). Once you have the Apple GCs then you do whatever you want with them.
Wait, you can buy other gift cards with Apple gift cards?

The math seems off on this amount...

Can you redeem to the *same* account after 2 months?
or
Do you have to create a new account with a different email address?
