ADB Appcontrol is probably the easiest solution for people unfamiliar with adb. It provides you with step by step instructions and a GUI, so you don't have to do everything by command line. https://adbappcontrol.com/en/

Just run the debloat wizard and it'll give you recommendations on what to disable.

Watch out on unintended consequences of this deal! I tried using the steps outlined and had to call to find out why I was ineligible.

I called and they got me the deal but I think i no longer get free Amazon Prime as a long time Metro account holder. They messed with my account to make me eligible and in hindsight I'd rather get Amazon Prime for free than an unneeded tablet for $20.

Sure as long as you become a new customer capable of receiving text messages, then you are ready to order.

I just paid $30 and added BYOD plan with eSim. Immediately tried to add a tablet line to get this free and I'm getting a message that I'm not eligible.

Any idea how to become eligible? TIA

Have you activated esim and create your metro account? You need to login your metro account to finish the purchase

It costs $25 per month without a free phone. I think I will go with $40 plan with free phone
Agreed. I only recommend making a new account with ESIM BYOD if someone wants to order it right away. Otherwise, you have to wait until the new phone comes in, then activate it, and then order the tablet. That could take an extra 3-4 days depending on shipping time. But it definetely makes more sense (if you can wait).

Hopefully they implement sooner than later. Sometimes those laws take a while. Metro would probably change their prices though, if it does go through

I think the system itself uses up almost 2GB of RAM so with the 4GB version, you're really only left with 2GB of useable RAM.
It has virtual ram too.

Tempted yet again, but I can't forget the trauma of "Please contact us to complete your order"😣

Yeah, I think the cheapest Metro "Flex" Plan is $55 first month, $50 autopay. I could be wrong though. I checked all the phones, and that is how the deal is labeled.
