Add the fan and the free gift battery to the cart for $59.

After placing the order, within 5 minutes, go back to the order and cancel the free battery. This results in the fan's price is only $26.99+tax. YMMV as I was using an HD Android App, which allowed me to cancel immediately after placing the order, while my friend (used an Iphone app) had to wait for 5-10 minutes for the order to show up.

You can also wait for both items to be delivered and return the battery in-store for the same net price for the fan, or sell the battery. Happy hacking!!!

Edit: thumbdowns all you want. Home Depot has allowed this type of deal/hack for years. If they allow it, I will do it. There is clearly a price attached to each item. A price that HD sets themselves. I did not force them to give me that price.

Messed up the first order checking out as guest, couldn't cancel at all online. Customer service would only cancel the whole order.

Reordered while logged in and immediately in Firefox and Chrome could only cancel the entire order. By the time I downloaded the Android app it was a bit over 10 minutes, again only entire order. Same for Firefox on Android. Sucks because I just bought 3 batteries on a recent deal, really wanted the fan.

Do you normally need to wait until the "Cancel" button shows up. Have a pick up for two different stores but both options only say "Buy Again" in my purchase history.

Is this worth getting and keeping the battery along with the fan? I am already heavily invested in makita products and this would add another charger to my collection .

I do not get the cancel button just the buy again button. Is there a wait time for cancel button to show up?

I like the deal. You can do whatever you want. I just don't like the word "hack" and IMO, please don't put "hack" in title.

Accidentally flooded a sink cabinet and after towel-drying everything I put this fan inside and let it run all night to keep the air flowing. After 10+ hours it was still running on a 4mAh battery.
What's more amazing is the fact that it has a 3 year warranty. Dyson caps out at 2 year.

Coincidentally my fan did crap out recently and that's after close to 2 years heavy 24/7 use.
The fan just started making noise and it popped off the bearing.

Made an account on Ryobi. Ticket opened last month with like a less than 1 week resolve. Got the replacement in 2 days.

So yeah, the support on it got me happy my tool stuff are all Ryobi.

Will return the battery on mine once I get it on Monday and see how it goes.

Create another thread and don't put the word "hack" in the title then. Your problem is solved. I can do whatever I want, including adding "hack" in the title.
