The AMD version caps at RTX 4070. So if you don't need a 4080 or above with vapor chamber, probably wait? I'm sure others can chime in on whether they agree with that or not

Before anyone asks, you can upgrade the ssd or add one more but ram is soldered on.

Ohh, I didn't know that. I read that only 4080 and 4090 had the vapor chamber and the rest have a third, annoying fan. I don't really need something so powerful though but I do care about noise and value.

Maybe I worded it wrong but that's what I meant, sorry. So yes, only 4080 and above have vapor chamber.

Man that thing's been listed for months and still not available to buy. I'd get it if it were on sale for $2k.

At $2400 this is fairly compelling though to get the 4080 and vapor chamber.

I'd say yes. Check for dead pixels, run CPU/GPU stress tests, run a Windows battery report, run memtest86+.

You could also run a few common benchmarks, ensure the scores are roughly equivalent to those recorded in professional reviews of your laptop model.

You can do that in less than a day.
