But even as a professional I would get a MacBook Air for my personal (web browsing) machine and a windows PC for gaming. Exactly like you said. You are right it doesn't make sense for most people. No one is trying to convince you otherwise.
Update: after many trial and errors, finally had a pickup option pop up for my local store. After many failures due to "network connection failure" from BB website, finally got it to transact. Crossing my fingers that it actually gets shipped and is available for pickup later this week.
On the other hand Tim Cook has held 8GB RAM in the baseline model since 2017 so maybe one shouldn't hold one's breath …

And, now I'm watching closely to see if they actually honor what they promised.
I combed through all the terms and conditions / fine print, and see no reason or excuse they have not to give that 15% -- and I am ready to raise a ruckus. Promising something to get somebody to sign up for a credit card, then reneging, is no joking mater.
