For anyone comparing this vs q30 or q35, they are all very simple. The major differences working up from q30 are the q35 adds capacity for gapless streaming/ playback.
The q45 then also adds adaptive noise canceling (vs q30 and q35 having 3 nc modes selectable by user) and q45 adds Bluetooth 5.3.
The Q30 and q35 are essentially identical in construction. Q45 has minor differences, such as the pivots being aluminum instead of plastic. The padding on q45 is a little thinner and the headset is a little heavier.
Q35 is currently $64 on amazon.
Q30 is $55 on Amazon or $50 at crutchfield.

Note: the Anker soundcore life tune pro is the identical model as the q30 but q30 is the model name for online retail and life tune pro is the model name for brick and mortar stores, but they are identical (this has been confirmed directly by Anker)
Bottom line price between all models is very similar and all are top rated options in their price brackets. Differences are small. But q45 at $64 is a no-brainer in this case. Even if the adaptive noise cancel isn't important to you such as only using at home, the bluetooth 5.3 is worth the extra few dollars.
If q45 is being sold at $99 or $125 then there is a strong value argument to pick the q30 or q35 but $65 for the q45 is an absolute win and you can buy without hesitation.
With inflation the way it is, depending upon how high the next gen models are, Anker could remove the price reductions on q45, hold to the $125 to $150 msrp and used q45 will likely sell for $75 or even $80+. Other popular value products have actual increased in cost over recent years, for same model. (Sony sscs5, elac bs41).

it looks like $64 deal is expired. At the $79 price, nothing has really changed and the deal is almost just as good. This $79 price is still significantly lower then all other retailers.
We never know the future, but it is very likely that when this $79 deal through Costco disappears, there wont be any other retail option under $100. There will be a group of people wishing they had bought for $79 when they could.
You do have to do a few things to get this right.
- download the Soundcore app
- update the firmware
- update to LDAC firmware
- If you are on Samsung, and other Android phones go to developer options and change to LDAC (this was part of the motivation for HiRes music for me)
- create your unique HearID on the app
- test a range of preset EQs and then combine that with the HearID.
These make it better.
