Pros
* very effective at pulling the water out of the air
Cons
* loud relative to my prior dehumidifier
* puts out quite a bit of heat
Notes:
*I keep it downstairs so the noise isnt much of an issue
*Heat is off putting in the summer. Will be fine in winter, but likely wont run as often (here in the northeast)
*I keep it at 55%, and my govee at the other end of the room ~20ft reads btwn 54-57
*Havent used the pump yet, but will look to rig something up (no drain/sink downstairs)
*From what I've read, when using the pump, it wont kick on until the internal reservoir fills
up
Overall, happy with initial purchase. Would rate 4.2-4.3/5, might bump it up if/when i utilize the pump.

My biggest complaint: the evaporator will frost over. The unit will continue to run and get really loud. This is a pretty big annoyance (noise). My previous dehumidifier off Amazon never had this happen in the same space.
Overall, I recommend it as long as you aren't going to be close to it while it's running.
Edit to add: it does eventually shut off to let the evaporator defrost, but it's not immediate. I've manually turned it off to defrost it a few times bc I couldn't deal with the noise until it figured it out itself.
And I think the Midea dehumidifiers are great, but their electrical usage can rapidly outpace the unit costs. I'm at 32 cents/KWH in MA. I found a few things to help optimize.
First I bought a Govee thermometer/hygrometer for $4.99 w/ free shipping;

It is much more accurate than the Midea one.

The Govee app can push alerts to your phone and can show historical data.
Second I bought a $10 TP-link energy monitoring smart plug (15 amp, UL listed) to monitor and schedule operation.

If it's on Auto, and unless you otherwise do something to remediate the humidity, the Midea unit is likely to run frequently, and do so without regard to time of day, electricity costs, etc etc. The Midea will retain its settings if the power goes. The wattage data from the plug app in conjunction with the humidity results from the Govee app led to setting up a smart plug schedule that has the humidifier being on for only 10 hours a day (at different times).
I wish the two apps were more closely integrated, but there you go.
Last thing - if you are in MA and your utility is a MassSave participant, you can get a $40 rebate on qualified Energy Star dehumidifiers.
But I will say - the Costco return policy is great!
I got the govee one after this and I've never seen anything packaged as well as it was. It even has notifications on my phone when the bucket is full
