It has gotten down to $519 new & OB just over $300.
People often say these receivers all sound the same/ similar.
If that's the case, might as get the least expensive one.
there is a lot of poorly engineered junk on the avr market, some of these receivers are designs from years ago... it's unfortunate that we have to pay upwards of $1k to get reliable clean sound with no bizarre malfunctions.

If you want to go by measurements I would suggest starting at AS and go from there.

suggest that you read the link more thoroughly... see the 305 for instance: https://www.audioscienc

You always have opposing opinions where upon using they don't have the problem/issue.
I gave an example of the RZ50 and it's very popular many report no problems/issues for them.
If you value that website more, again I would suggest going there.

The only one cheerleading for one side is you!
If AS is your reality what the heck are you doing in here! 🙄

Concerning the "stealth protection", I had this to say about the RZ50 back in May:

If prospective DRX3.4 owners have challenging, low-impedance speakers BUT are able to kick out to external amps, then it's a good match!

I just can't hear anything with my eyes!!!
Oh well if that's wrong pretty happy using my ears!!!
The irony though, he has been making faulty claims on how Dirac works.
I've provided Dirac's own user manual and for some reason he can not comprehend it.
He even goes as far to claim Dirac is wrong!!!
Funny thing though, even my neighbors pig comprehends it but he can not fly!

Remember how you claimed that ALL Onkyos are forced to perform bass management in the AVR and can't be done in Dirac per Dirac instructions? Here ya go (from actual RZ70 owners should you be brave enough to visit AVS again):

A clue is all this deflection and false claims he makes!
I haven't "claimed" anything, I provided Dirac's own user manual and even showed what it says in plain English!
It says unless you have/paid for Dirac Live Bass Control.
Dirac(Dirac Live) relies on the AVRs bass management for that.
Written in plain English in their user manual! https://www.dirac.com/wp-content/...Manual.pdf
Clearly it's not my "claim" but you keep claiming they're wrong without proof! 🙄
I do remember you "claiming" DLBM has some secret squirrel special "usefulness" over DL.
The only thing it does more is lets you adjust the crossover you already set before running DL with in Dirac!
AGAIN that written in plain English!
Since you disagree with Dirac without proof, you try to deflect and say it's my "claim"! Nice try there Jedi 😜
