Trade-in values are based not just on your trade, but also on what model you're buying. When trading an iPhone 12 / 13, you'll get the best trade value when buying a similar model of new Pixel. For example:
iPhone 12 / 13 Pro will get a $999 credit toward a Pixel 9 Pro (update: now $899 credit for 12 Pro)

Though a $100 Best Buy gift card is better for most people than a $100 Google Store credit, so that's a factor too.

Honestly, no clue. I guess I'll see what I get from Amazon.
That means this is likely gone and won't be fulfilled. The pending charge will drop off tomorrow. Bad luck this time for me.

I selected "Good" for trade-in as I was expecting a brand new phone from Metro, which doesn't seem to be happening.

Whole process:
Took carrier locked Straight Talk iPhone 12 64gb to store. It showed up trade in value of $145. After inputting all of the IMEI info (rep only checked condition, didn't check carrier or anything...I told him Verizon) the next page showed promotions. Rep had to find the coupon code for additional $654 off.
Total was $145 + tax (so ~$160), rep used the $145 trade in gift card to apply to the balance so all I had to do was pay taxes on the $145 (under $15 of taxes).
Then he printed out the info and also gave me a $100 gift card to take home.
