Just FYI, reviews state that these are copper clad aluminium and not pure copper.

Cat6 will achieve 10gbps over 55 metres (10BASE-T). But whether or not you'll have the setup to achieve so (or the need for it) is up to you.

Cat 5e are the ones that go to to 1 Gbps. Cat 6 and 7 go up to 10 Gbps. Cat 8 up to 40 Gbps.

As copper isn't cheap, I'd imagine pure copper isn't going to be that common and costs many times more?

Ummm pure cooper is key for longer wires- esp if you don't wanna deal with replacing the bad cable from cca faults (if you're doing wired backhaul)

Nope they offer it. If I'm running this in walls or ceiling "something I don't want to do twice in going pure copper". If I'm using this for an Xbox on the other side of the room or something sure. But if it takes me an hour to change or set the cable I'm spending the extra.

You're going to get what you pay for here. It will work but these are the worst cables i've ever seen. Didn't know they could make them so sucky. But they do work if you are very careful with them.
