I've been using metal blades on glass for over 30 years and never scratched any glass yet. Exactly how are you "snagging" on the glass?

Literally no offense my guy... but it sounds more like a skill issue.

I think it's more about curved glass or those with certain UV coatings. I've also used razors on (home) glass for my entire life, no issues. Cars are a little trickier, especially inside.

Do you mind providing suggestions
this is the bees' knees, from a very good car tool manufacturer, who make a lot of their tools in the US, including this one.

We should all agree that glass can be scratched if not used correctly. An iphone is a good example, they keep claiming that the gorilla glass is harder than ever and will not scratch. However it does scratch and have scuff marks eventually, though it is a lot better now than earlier models.

What's the best way to get car registration stickers off?
Saturate a paper towel with windex and dab the edges of the registration sticker to soak. Start from a corner of the sticker using a tool as this and scrape to loosen sticker edges. repeat as needed.

Works to shave 🪒, also prevents cultural enrichment of others who attack you while you scrape your windows.

Before using this, your sharp blade can snag into glass and cause scratches. This is more of a last resort tool. There are so many other options for removing gunk from glass.
I sold cars for ten years - these things were all anybody used and I never heard of anybody scratching glass. And we're talking stoned minimum wage car preps.

This won't scratch glass. A simple razor isn't capable of leaving marks at a level 6, and deeper grooves at a level 7.

Are these really better than just using your fingers to hold a regular razor blade at an angle?

you 'all can use razor blades on glass if you want, but I only use 0000 steel wool for home and car windows to get sap and other gunk off.

White light duty 3M pads are good too.

I'm not talking about sticker removal here.

Ugg. I had a retractable one. It was always retracting when I was using it. If you can live without the retraction, this is much easier to use.

Steel wool works great. That's what I used along with goo gone and windex to clean off glue residue after removing tinting from car window.
