I have been in the market for one of these and this one is the best deal I have found in the past few weeks. Looks like there is a 1 year Microsoft warranty included.

If you don't mind ARM (most people won't, I do), the Surface Pro 11 base model (Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB, 256GB) new is a much better deal at $899 as it knocks the pants off of the SP9 both in terms of performance and in terms of battery life.
I'll be waiting for the SP 11 For Business / SP 12 with an x86 SoC (Lunar Lake 200V?)

Two things to note:
1. I've bought the SP4, SP5, and SP7 from MS before. So this might be some "switch to ARM, loyal SP user" discount. (That won't happen in my case until ARM crosses the 50% mkt share threshold)
2. I'm registered with a .edu email address although it is NOT a school account, but rather a plain vanilla individual account.
