I just called, the rep says he would sell two KP8060FAII for $850 ... So maybe place your order by phone if this deal is for you. I tried to ask about the inconsistent model numbers, but he said don't worry about that, he would sell by the SKU number, two for $850.

These are actually the SKU: KP8060FAIIW2 MFR: 1070034 shown in the photo - may want to adjust the title OP to the newer FAII(2) model … ebony pair is available for $999

I bought these when they (miraculously) came on sale for this price about 2 months ago. Phenomenal speakers, amazing deal.

This deal is for the 2 pack walnut 8060FA II speakers, $849: See the sku of the product linked from this deal.

But the Ebony I am also seeing as $999 each, not a 2 pack.

I see the title on the website says 8060FA not FA II, but the accompanying manufacturer information is for the FA II, then further down the page is says FA. Probably the FA II part is an error and you will get the regular 8060FA Pair.

You don't have to use its height speakers for atmos.

Do these eliminate the need for upfiring speakers since they have a speaker on the top? Or would you still need some upfiring speakers to achieve height sound?

I literally hooked up these yesterday. I don't have other height speakers. If I plug these in would they default to using the height speakers for atmos? I'm a total novice and was hoping for a simple "plug and play."

You have 3 sets of binding posts, 2 sets on bottom for optional bi-amping (they are jumped by default) you just hook a red and black lead into a black and red post, it doesnt matter which ones

the 3rd set above the 4 posts is for the atmos (height) speaker, you can leave this unhooked if your avr doesnt support atmos or you dont want it, if you want atmos then make sure you plug the atmos channels from your avr into each speaker, they will typically be labeled height as well
then redo your room correction/setup on the avr

I currently have a 5.2.2 setup with only rear height speakers. My room doesn't allow for any front height speakers. How well do these do at mimicking front height in a room with a vaulted ceiling? I'm currently running Polk Monitor 70 Series II fronts and the rest of the speakers are all Polk Monitor Series II as well, so everything is sonically matched. Should I consider upgrading?

Thanks for any input.

Holy inflation! I remember getting the RP-280FA with dual 8' drivers for $700 shipped a few years ago. Glad I pulled the trigger. 😃
