Good price but the retail is a joke. Its not a $60 hammer. $24.40 on anazon rite now and i think its like $32 in store at lowes. I got this exact hammer for $8 on clearance at lowes awhile back but obviously that price cant be replicated
short answer - fiberglass hammers are for hanging pictures - this one is top notch beast.

Fiberglass hammers are low end. yes this fiskars has everything the top end hammers have. that said a homeowner who rarely uses a hammer would have no problems with a fiberglass one. higher end hammers have better anti vibration - the low end hammers don't supress vibrations which does long term damage to your wrist.

side note to self - MUST RESIST THE SLICKDEAL EFFECT - my DeWalt is just as good.
Ordered this last time it was featured on SD. No shipping notification for 4 weeks so I cancelled the order.

Do professional contractors use this hammer? I bought the Fiskars axe with the plastic handle, and it's ok for occasional camping, but I wouldn't consider it a professional tool. This hammer has a steel handle, so I'm on the fence.

For comparison on sale now:

Craftsman 16 oz. fiberglass $12
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RBD7XZD

Irwin 16 oz. fiberglass $9.71

No! Just buy it. It's only $15. Your DeWalt is lonely and needs a friend.

1.) those are significantly lighter, and would be terrible for driving framing nails, whereas at 20z this boy is in the beginning of framing turf

2.) fiberglass sucks eggs; steel is real

I also ordered this last time. It did take a really long time to ship but in the end got it without any further action. They said they had some issue with their shipping partner. If you need a hammer today then look elsewhere but if you aren't in a hurry this is a reputable site.

In for one. I own the framing version of this and it's day and night with my DeWalt hammer! Got it at Lowe's clearance only because of the price but boy once I start using it I literally will hunt to find it before picking up any other hammer. I don't even let other people use it lol

Did they ship it on the same day or are you just saying there is no shipping fee?
