This one is fine, but I think the ones with an actual display are better. Get Sony Starvis 2 if you can afford $150-250 for very good quality. Starvis 1 is still fine, better than nothing. Just put in starvis on Amazon & look model on youtube, then watch an actual review with footage. Find one that fits your needs. They're all about the same, except some have better customer service. Blackvue & vantrue are pretty good but very pricey. Would suggest viofo or 70mai for budget. Owned a viofo for 5 years now, finally upgraded to a 70mai 2.5k. So far, so good

I have the one with a screen. in texas it gets very hot, 130+ degrees in the car. the screen glue start to come loose. The dashcam and buttons still work, but it looks like it will fall out. having said that, I have had mine for 5 years now with the screen protruding. still works.

If you can, get a vantrue n4 pro. This is how/why I picked it: https://youtu.be/lzdxCOvPq5Q?si=AqgzP7jwUlZawj2H

For a "name brand," it sure has a low mixed review

I need to buy one for my car after having an accident last October and got blamed on me for not having a witness. Which brand or model do you recommend that does not brake the bank either single front and/or including the rear camera. I have a hybrid do you recommend getting the harness and having it 24/7?

Seems to be a lot of issues with it not having a screen.

The A119 doesn't have wifi so you have to review videos from the screen or through the SD card. The WM1 has wifi and is newer so you can download it to your phone. I read the download itself is really slow though. For $50 I am going to give the WM1 a try. There are complaints about Wifi not working eventually in the reviews.
I currently have a A119 where the buttons have melted or broken/and the suction cup has finally given out. Had it for 5+ years so a cheap replacement works for me. Haven't needed to use the dashcam for any reason once yet fortunately.

Not sure about this one but on mine the screen is only used to setup, review/playback is done via laptop or whatever you have

Got two of the Viofo S1 about 6 months ago when the model was new. Compact and pretty good video quality. Running well so far.

Soooo I went against my philosophy of shielding myself from being spied on and bought a dash cam from temu for a bargain price of 6 and some change. Yes 6 bucks after using new user promo code, original was I believe 32 bucks. I swore to myself that I was not going to let myself be manipulated by the constant every other youtube temu ad. I was looking for a cheap usb c meter and my search led me to temu and just like that, I opened up an account that came with all sorts of promo codes, some had an expiration date so I ended using it on a dash cam figuring that if it sucked than oh well, it was only 6 bucks. It's been a year and it's endured the hot summer here in so cal. I'm happy with it and I plan on using it till it takes a shit on me. So if you want to take the risk as i did, I recommend temu dash cam. The specific cam i bought has been discontinued and supercedes by d70-4k (brand is zk).

Try dongar technologies for an adapter...I think they only work for cars with rearview mirror with dimmer
