Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

Are you sure about that? Is this like overall trade in policy everywhere or specific to best buy??
Also I chosed - unlocked iPhone 12 during my order for trade in. Now, taking this metro locked one might be an issue

I'm having the same thought, but I chose the locked AT&T option during checkout. Would it be a problem trading in this locked Metro iphone 12 at BB when I chose the locked AT&T option?

No. You can just lock in the deal last week. It's valid for two weeks or something, can't recall exactly how long, but long enough for you to acquire the phone for trade and finish the whole thing. Try using the borrowed resource and grace period wisely. It's like shorting a stock. When you get everything ready to act you are already too late. The best deals are for preorder. Take the deal and think about if you want to go through it or cancel it later.

Are you dumb or something? You're talking about One or two different things: either the iPhone infinite plan where you actually have to return your iPhone every 12 months to get the latest iPhone and you have to stay on boost Mobile forever, or you're talking about just getting the iPhone 15 and having boost Mobile give you a discount every month; again you're stuck with boost Mobile.

How the hell is this better than paying $49 and 1 month of service and then owning your iPhone 12? Two very very different things.
