Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

Never used metro before. How easy to cancel the plan afer the 1st month? Instore? Online? or call?
What's the easiest way to get a refund for the $70 service? I might want to keep the phone for $50. Otherwise I'll just return it since my plan to trade this into Best Buy failed, once Best Buy lowered the trade-in values for iPhone 12 from $799 to $300.

Interestingly the iPhone 12 benchmarks are slightly better than the Tensor in the Pixel 9. Pixel has more ram, better screen, camera and AI but shows how far behind the chip is in performance.

Does anyone know if metro do price match? I ordered when these were 99 last week and traded it in. Would like to know if its worth jumping through a few hoops to get the price matched to 49

That's not good Frown Thank you!
BUT, that policy is dated December 9th 2020 and I know for a fact it was 6 months THIS year. Our family is with T-Mobile, and I take advantage of these deals every time they come up. We use these as backups or gifts... or if my kids want to upgrade their phone, they just pay me the $125 I paid and they get a new phone for a fraction of the cost. I bought 3 phones in Dec/Jan, paid for the first months required service and put them in our safe. I set a reminder for 6 months and in June/July, I put a Tmobile sim in and it worked. Maybe they updated the policy without updating the date...or maybe it is 6 months for Tmobile sims and 1 year for everyone else 🤷🏼 ♂️. All I know is it worked for me last month after 180 days.

***Edit- I just saw an article posted by another SD user that confirms the 365 day change. Nevermind...looks like it is effective last month.

BTW, if you want Apple Care on these phones, you have to add it immediately (within 30 days maybe) or you can't add it ever. Tried to add AppleCare when I actually took them out of the box last month and my option was gone.

Yeah, I saw that firsthand as I played around with my used iPhone 12 before trading it in for P9. Snappy and no stuttering or other wildcards. Pixel still has kinks to work out. My first day using P9 base was full of jankiness. Same sorta stuttering and whatnot that my P6A had. But second day, going much smoother. Also with updates to Android 15, etc. Still, if the one day of playing with the iPhone 12 didn't make me want to throw the damn thing at a wall (reseting and erasing all data are two separate functions on the thing?!), Pixel would be very hard sell at the same price as iPhone. But given the price and ease of seamless Pixel transfer, I'm pleased. Good build quality too.

And be aware, this only gets harder as Apple moves away from nano-sim cards. Starting with iPhone 14 you can't just do a simple SIM card swap...and I don't know how easy it is to swap an eSIM. Iphone 13 might be the last MetroPCS phone you can do this trick with.
