Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

I have a question

Let's say I want to keep this GV number after I port in to Metro. Is it possible?

Can I port it back to GV? How soon after activating?

I know with Metro you have to do moving of SIM to another phone dealio with phone on hand (one from Metro) because service isn't tied to the SIM but also to the IMEI

Can I call up Metro right after activating and say I want to move esim to my unlocked dual SIM phone? Then I'd have it ready to port back to GV? But I don't want to pay more than the first month's service to make sure porting to Metro went through...
Good question - Would also like to hear from anyone who's successfully transferred eSIM from Metro iPhone to another (most likely Metro-locked) device before trading in about how the process went. TIA!

I got this message, "Sorry, you are not eligible to add a new line. Please contact support to discover the reason for ineligibility. 1-888-8metro8"
Does that mean I have too many free phones already? Do I need to create a new account for the free phone?

No, it's prepaid. You activate first month then let it die.

Considering the $75 tier has Prime idk why yall aren't using it, strange.

Did you get that message before ordering the tablet or after?
Once you make an order you cannot order anything else until you activate the previous order.

You can go on to the website and change the device IMEI. Put in an unlocked or metro phone and choose physical SIM. Put in a new or deactivated sim.

Max 4 total, 1 at a time.
Once shipped, activate and order again.
When we oder the second/third/fourth phone, do we need a new number from GV to port in?
Thanks

I have moved the Metro eSIM to another unlocked phone successfully. The other phone is from Straight Talk (just in case you need the info). Haven't tried moving the number back to GV as it was a temp number for me.

I moved the Esim from the 12 to some old iPhone 11 from TMO; I think it was an unlocked phone, but it works fine. I did it on their website after login to my account

You can't trade in a locked phone. It has to be unlocked or else you will be liable to pay for the outstanding balances which will be required to fully unlock the phone
Trade in a locked phone to Apple? You most certainly can.
