Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

I umboxed and activated in order to get service active and do the transfer, yes. And yes, you need to have SMS to that line to log in to account and do the transfer in the first place

That's another important note with Metro actually. You need to get the number ported out to another IMEI if you intend to sell the phone as Metro locked. Sure you could use the other SIM of the dual SIM configuration

But Metro ties the SIM to the IMEI and the only way to port it to another IMEI is while you have access to the account! For which you need text coming in to it!

Sometimes it takes a few minutes.
I would suggest logging out, wait a bit, log back in and try again.

Maybe you need to space out your orders by a few days? There was 10 days between my first and second iPhone 12 orders.
