Too many here lately calling people idiots and morons. It used to be once in a blue, but now I see it on every thread. These classless people need to be banned

BB deal was great, and this one isn't bad either. Both can be true. Not everyone can spend literally hours or nearly an entire day to take advantage of bb deal.. not to mention the time to order the trade in, credit, refund, stress of it so.

Mint deal is one and done. Surprise Google is offering this at launch. There's helluva lot more deals with P9 vs P8... eBay, swappa, fb will be flooded for a while.

Yes. The pixel 7 pro for 100something bucks with mint deal

What's important is that the SIM card pack is separate from the phone. I resold the SIM card pack on ebay. Kept the phone and used it on my existing Mint plan (just moved old SIM to new phone)

I don't know if any of this has changed, but hopefully these devices don't end up locked for a full year: https://www.lightreading.com/regu...int-delays

Edit: never mind, it's already 60 days!

That was a generation-old phone. This is an unreleased phone.
Your right, so an equivalent deal at this time would be a pixel 8 pro for less than $120 + cost of plan... still a phenomenal deal, which I for one would jump at.

What would happen if you place the order but the port-in fails due to issues with the other carrier? Would Mint still honor the price?
I feel like I should write the wiki for this deal lol

So what you're getting is a locked Pixel 9 phone that'll work on Mint. Unlocked after certain amount of time of service on Mint (whether that's with this SIM or your own). Which brings me to next thing

You also get a SIM pack that's for 6 months. With another 6 months free. The portin is required for that part of the deal! Not to place the order on site today. Only when activating that SIM for the 6 months free deal

Otherwise, you do NOT need to port in. I did the P7 Pro deal a year or so ago and sold the SIM pack on ebay. Whoever activates it gets 12 months if they port in, 6 if they don't. It's not linked to this order or phone in any way

And I used the P7 Pro with existing Mint service and SIM. Haven't bothered to unlock with that so idk about that.

To double check, I compared the terms of the offer to the one from back then. Samesies

Do note, you need to port in your number to mint to get 12 months, don't think quick port out and then port back in would be a way to retain current number and start 12 months again. Please correct me if I am wrong.
A quick port out/in does indeed work. Earlier this year, when I activated a new P7P with 12 months of service, I was already a Mint customer from a previous deal. I ported my number out to a US Mobile e-SIM with a free 30-day trial. As soon as the number was ported out from Mint, I canceled the free trial with US Mobile and ported it back in with the 12-month plan that came with the P7P deal. Total time: less than a day. Total cost: nada (excluding the few months I lost by canceling my previous 12-month plan early, but it was well worth it). The P7P unlocked automatically sometime after the first 60 days (not sure exactly when) as per Mint's Ts&Cs.

Thank you for sharing this, just was not sure if after tmobile acquire this works as tmobile has some 3 months period, if I am not mistaken, to become a new customer? So not sure how mint was affected in any way?

Thank you so much! Couldn't care less about that extra 6 months at this price.

How do you know? From past Pixel phone releases/deals on Mint?
Last year's preorder deals were better than Black Friday. Also these phone are sold out right now and shipping in October. Soon they will be shipping in November. Google has a price match guarantee. They pretty much can't drop the price. They will likely drop the trade in values and may swap store credits for like pixel bud A series or pro series depending on model you buy.

Just guessing here.

There's an AMEX deal for $45 cash back on $90 purchase. That makes the phone $444 before taxes.

It was a year ago. Sorry, should've mentioned. Exactly the same promo otherwise though

Be careful with the ship date and offer expiration date. They usually charge only after the item is shipped

On Mint now but planning on porting out and back in to take advantage of this deal. Anyone know if you can stack a referral on top of this? My wife has Mint and can have her refer me to come back in if that is possible.

Mine was only $20 back after spending $45. Oh well... better than nothing

EDIT:

Found the $45 off $90 on the wife's Amex Everyday. Thanks!

My son has mint mobile with the pixel 6a. I want to get my mom on that plan as well but want to give the new pixel 9 to my son and give the older pixel 6a to my mom.

Does anyone know if I can just activate it and swap out the sim card?
