But, I hear these rust easily. If I get one of these hose reel cart. Can I spray like Rustoleam clear coat to protect metal but not spray the screws section?
My only gripe is, it tends to reel itself backwards a little after you're done reeling in your hose. A few rust spots forming around the screws and metal seams but a good overall garden hose cart. I've had it for 2 seasons now and I expect it to last many more years. I recommend it highly.

Never having owned a hose cart before, I feel a bit let down by the experience of actually owning one; it generally sits around in different places with flat tires while I carry other hoses around by hand, waiting for that one time I start a fire that doesn't need to get out of control, but has not had any actual problems besides the leader hose. Oh sure, it has some rust.

I will agree that it rolls easily but imo it makes it easily maneuverable. I created a wheel chock from a 2x4 to jam between 2 tires.
As for leaking, I installed quick connects to the lead-in and hose bib, secured with thread tape. No leaks.
