As part of Sam's Club clearance of Summer items, saw their Member's Mark Garden Hose Reel Cart with Steel Basket for $46.34 at my local store.
Normally $100:

Bought this last year, and it has been a great hose reel, nice quality components with no issues.

Looks like my store already sold out in 2 days, so they are going fast.
Other stores range in price from $59.62 to $38.46.
Good luck.

Different prices dependent on the Sam's Club you choose as your club. I checked some Sam's around me and they vary in prices. Plus some don't have it in stock and some do.

But, I hear these rust easily. If I get one of these hose reel cart. Can I spray like Rustoleam clear coat to protect metal but not spray the screws section?

I bought the Ironton variant from Northern Tool via Wal-Mart.com for $100 and some change. It's built very well, hardware (screws and nuts) included, wheels are great, quite easy to reel in, considering how much I load it with.

My only gripe is, it tends to reel itself backwards a little after you're done reeling in your hose. A few rust spots forming around the screws and metal seams but a good overall garden hose cart. I've had it for 2 seasons now and I expect it to last many more years. I recommend it highly.

I too bought the Ironton cart, in 2012. I recall having to do something hacky to replace the leader hose when it failed.

Never having owned a hose cart before, I feel a bit let down by the experience of actually owning one; it generally sits around in different places with flat tires while I carry other hoses around by hand, waiting for that one time I start a fire that doesn't need to get out of control, but has not had any actual problems besides the leader hose. Oh sure, it has some rust.

I have this and like it, but it's more aggravating than I thought it would be. First, it rolls around. I have wheel chocks for mine. Second, if it's hooked up to the faucet and you pull on your hose, it will loosen the hose that's attached to the reel and leak. You have to unreel the amount of hose you need before hooking it up.

I got this last year. It rusts very easily. There are random spots along the frame that are rusting so whatever coating they have on it doesn't work.

I bought last year. It's been sitting outside this whole time—parked next to my shed and under a large tree. Mine doesn't have any rust whatsoever. Guess ymmv.

I will agree that it rolls easily but imo it makes it easily maneuverable. I created a wheel chock from a 2x4 to jam between 2 tires.

As for leaking, I installed quick connects to the lead-in and hose bib, secured with thread tape. No leaks.

That Vevor looks weak. I do like Vevor stuff but not this particular one.

At most I bought this hose cart 3-4 summers ago and it's been rusted and the cylinder where the hose rests is coming apart at the seams. It's still functional, but looks much older than it is. In the winter it's stored in a shed and otherwise it's stored against the house.

Maybe the rusty ones live in humid areas
