It turns out this is super-easy, at least if you have a Best Buy account and ordered online. Sign-in. Select "Order Status". Select "Order Details" for the order. There will be a "check price match" button. Click that and it just does it.

I remember being so excited to get a 32" 720P for this price back in 2006

I know! How did we ever manage with tiny 25" TVs - kids today don't even know that at one time that was considered big.

Or even, 13" TVs!

48" is plenty for a bedroom, and plenty of people somehow manage to use them in a living room too. Imagine that!

I know OLED is like the best of the best when it comes to TVs but isn't 48" a bit too small nowadays? Is this even acceptable for couch gaming?

It's fun to look back at what we were using in the 1960s going forward . I recall watching the moon landing in July 1969 on our 27"? Zenith black and white TV.

In the late 1980s, the 35" 480p Mitsubishi Tube TV in Oak Cabinet was the dream TV everybody wanted . People would walk by and gawk at the huge 35" screen. About $3500.00 ? and perhaps 200 pounds.

Around 1986, we got a 20" TV for the bedroom which was considered very nice and typical size. Maybe $300.00 in 1986?

Around 2000, my parents were using a Sony Trinitron 27" TV in their large living room. I got them a used 36" TV for cheap. They loved that big 36" screen.

And now I sit in front of a 55" TV for my PC monitor, though I would probably prefer a 43" or 48" as a monitor.

I bought this TV a few weeks ago and was blown away by the picture quality. It's great for gaming and casual TV watching.

Why are these going for so low? Are the panels worse than the more expensive models?

B4 is rated higher than the S85D Samsung but the C4 has a better processor and more glossy panel, and G4 has MLA 5000+ microscopic lenses on top of each pixel, a better processor, 5-year panel warranty AND more sleek mountable design.

Seems like the best bedroom option at the moment... Are the speakers good enough to not need a sound bar for relatively low volume usage?

How much did it cost you to buy a 42 foot TV?

Setting my new 48" B4 up in the master bedroom now. Replaces a 2010 Sony 55". Very happy with it so far, but (gasp!) it is a bit smaller. Ah well. It's a nice tv. I plan to run software update on the firmware and then never look at the LG interface again (because, AppleTV).

The picture is great so far but testing is limited.
