Folks, just a heads up -- the "1500 Talk/Text/Data" isn't per month, it's for the entire year. It works out to about 4 minutes/4 texts/4mb data per day.

Unlock policy has been 60 days since November 2021 when Verizon bought Tracfone brands.

Speaking of tax, I calculated what I was charged. It was way off. When I called to question what tax rate they where charging me, the response was "tax is calculated BEFORE discount". But even after recalculating based on the original price I was being taxed a WRONG HIGHER amount than what my local tax was supposed to be. So I called again, to ask what rate I was being tax at, the response "it's automatically calculated" and they don't have a way to find out. I pointed out that they don't say any of this on the invoice or what the tax rate is on invoice either! So guess what? I'm going to contact my local franchise tax board and complain about QVC for over charging on tax! I'm still waiting for a response back from a supervisor about correcting their system with correct tax rates. If no response I'll have to deduct the excess tax from next years taxes. So keep those receipts and invoices!

So, out of the box camera didn't work? Check for system, app updates. Try installing a different camera app. I always use Open Camera as my default anyway. Worse case, backup files and factory reset.

Thanks. so i set it up with my samsung phone. and maybe something in conflict? now i did a factory reset, it doesn't work at first. but after i agree to "take the tour" of the camera, it is working. but then, with factory reset, it is not a very good back up of my main phone.......

i guess i'll have to stick with samsung, even with a back up phone....

Can anyone who bought this phone dial #tfunlock# ( #83865625# ), just want to know if it is automatic unlock or manual unlock. thanks~

If manual unlock, it will ask to enter unlocked code 1. - if this is the case, it should not having same issue with ST Moto G Power 2024
If Auto unlock, it will simply display "SIM LOCKED".

That's different. None of my Orbics came with the old red card. All of mine (& I've bought plenty for harvesting in past 2+ yrs) came with a computer printed white label with info.
Guess it pays to check out what's inside the pkg when you receive it, I certainly would have questioned the missing info right away.

It did have the white label but just SIM + IMEI, no airtime plan number included

The airtime plan is preloaded to the SIM/IMEI pair. TF hasn't had a separate airtime card for a long time. Sometimes TF does forget to load the service in phone bundles, especially those directly from TF eBay store, so it's a good idea to activate them within return period.

TF customer service provides absolutely no support for their ebay store, and insists I need to buy airtime. eBay / Paypal dispute can't be opened after 180 days... fark TracFone

That's why phones/sims bought from TF eBay store need to be activated in a timely manner, mistakes happen. Many previous SD threads have mentioned empty Sims for the preloaded Sim plans as well as bundled phones.
I've been able to get eBay refunds when TF screwed up, just need to do it within the 30 days.

Anyone know if this is a CDMA or GSM? I saw on the Tracfone website that this phone is a CDMA Phone, and I'm checking the specs and this phone is a GSM. Unless this phone takes both?

Most recent phones are now LTE/5g (CDMA/GSM is considered old technology). Verizon owns TF and phone will activate on VZ network. Description on website should have been changed months ago.

I just got mine as a back up/house phone. I didn't see any easy pay or anything so hopefully i won't see anymore charges from this.
