The lowest of 24.99 was in late 2023 when chip prices were at record lows and the fabs were losing money. So starting in Q1 2024 they all started raising prices and as a result memory prices have skyrocketed in 2024

I can't believe Amazon still allows Chinese sellers to commingle their inventory with inventory directly from Samsung. It's insanity.

Amazon show 3% 1 star reviews.. mostly due to fakes.. if you want to be sure, get it from best buy.

Alternately, Samsung direct has the Evo Select version on sale for $39.99 (160mbps vs 130mbps for Evo Plus).

I've been buying all my memory cards and usb thumb drives on AliExpress for the past five years. It's literally 1/5th to 1/8th the price of Amazon.

You only get those speeds when using a very modern reader/adapter, so it probably won't actually benefit most people other than transfers from a computer using said reader

I get the cheaper one. Though someone pointed out Samsung has the faster one available directly

I've bought about 10 SD cards from Amazon over the years, 7 of which were Samsung. I've never gotten a fake card, though I sure do see A LOT of people constantly echoing the claim -- and very rarely is it as a first hand experience :| they'd never do that and avoid Amazon!

Samsung SD cards have a 4.7 rating with thousands of reviews. That's awfully high for something everyone on here will tell you is fake. And Amazon returns are effortless and one of the main reasons I shop there. It's such a silly argument.

Yes it's the arcadepunks 512gb from last April 2023 I think. I will give it a shot, have a BB card to burn anyway

I buy cards there too sometimes. Paid $20 for 256 SanDisk recently. Care to link the shop w 1/5 or 1/8 price on legit cards pretty please? I'll order dozens!

Don't buy if you don't immediately need it as price is likely to come down but spects will surely get better in no time.

What comes on the arcadepunks 512? Most of them have such obscure games it's a pain to navigate. Just want one that is designed around nintendo switch

I'm currently disputing a package from AliExpress that never arrived after 2+ months, no tracking since "handed to airline"
