Pixel pro can hardly compete with other flagship phones. Tensor G4 ... performance wise it's comparable to other flagships from 2 years ago. It also only comes with 128Gb for the base model. Good camera though, as alway.
Yep exactly besides pixel phones don't have much trade in value. Even Google doesn't give good trade in value.

It was already posted 4 days back.
I searched before posting but did not show up , maybe there were issues with forum search .also I was planning to post it 4 days ago but got busy ordering pixel pro from Google fi which gave me 470$ off.

can we do this in store?
Yes, but be careful they do it right, cash up front. They will push the financing.

When searching, select "other" instead of "spectrum". I can find the a71.

Google Fi service is quite expensive. I consider spectrum a little overpriced, but Fi is a lot overpriced.

Yes you can. I paid off my 36 month monthly payment phone im 10 months.

However, they make you pay the full amount and then refund back. On an expensive phone this method of paying 1100 and then refunding back 600 is very inconvenient.
Not sure I would trust them to refund, especially if I was no longer a Spectrum customer.

Was the refund in cash or in Spectrum credit toward future service?

Just so I'm clear on this, here is how this is presenting on the Spectrum Website.

Price is $1099
Showing a reduction of $500 for the promo, bringing the price to $599 plus tax (7% here) making the total purchase $661.99. I plan to pay this amount up-front.

I'm trading in my Pixel 8 Pro for a total of $450 trade value.

Question is, will the $450 be... refunded to my Spectrum account, refunded to my payment method (visa), or received in monthly bill credits?

Is this phone unlocked? I'm a Spectrum Internet customer but I don't want to expand my services just to get this phone at this price, can I use Straight Talk service if buying it? I need some clarification as I'm not so good with the fine prints.

If online then you get credit after the trade in is complete. You need to call to refund back to your original payment method but usually takes only couple minutes to complete.
In store, it's instant discount. You only pay what you owe after all the discounts.
Most of us prefer to do it in store since it's easier and faster. YMMV though because it depends on which employee is helping you.

From my previous experience, the phone is network locked to Spectrum for 60 days. After that, you can request an unlock to use on any compatible network.

I'm getting a year of unlimited data for free, so I can just pay the monthly fee ($16.66) for 2 months and then pay the remainder, get it unlocked, and it will fresh be and ready. If I don't like the pixel, I can just re-sell it and actually make a small profit. If I like, I'll just keep.

Also, I got $121 credit for my iphone se 2nd gen.

Are they less lenient with in store trade ins? I have small scratch and dent for my pixel 8

No, but they can give you an instant decision instead of waiting for the mail order guys to reject or adjust your trade in.

My guess is a small scratch won't be a problem, but doing it in store provides certainty.

Scratches aren't usually a dealbreaker. It's when you have cracks that they have issues with it.
Try taking it to the store. Like I said YMMV depending on the employee. Few will give you a hard time, most will be pretty normal.
