I'm looking for a Bosch dishwasher at the moment and this is the best deal I've seen so far.

Just got this dishwasher yesterday and very disappointed so far. Have done two cycles so far and everything is just soaking wet at the end. Not sure if there is learning curve involved but out of the box experience and first impression is totally opposite of the hype.

Thank you for the feedback. My current LG dishwasher works but the heater is broken so I end with wet dishes. I have been letting it dry overnight and the dishes dry out. I was looking at upgrading to the Bosch but your comment made me think twice as it would be the same situation for me. Looks like I will keep using my 8 yr old LG dishwasher.

My experience is not typical of the other reviews I have seen so take it with grain of salt. Maybe we need to figure out the right settings or we have a bad unit.

Is the Crystal dry turn on? Just got our a few days ago we loaded all racked and next morning it took our out and it about 98% dry out. The 2% is from some coffee cup bottom is concave so puddling will happen.

Have you looked at the wiring? Granted the heating element could be broken but could also be due to loose or broken wiring. It might be worth pulling it out to see if there is something simple. My car lost contact with half of the fuel injectors (3 of 6) due to three loose grounding bolts on the fuse box.

Sorry to hear that. These units are usually so good. Of course it should work out of the box but lately I have had to fix stuff that I buy new. Have you followed each cycle by opening the door while it is running. i am wondering if during your discharge cycle the pump is working or the discharge hose is too low and still has water in it. it might be worth pulling out the unit and seeing if there is disconnected wiring in the unit or a kinked discharge hose. The 800 used to have a box of water absorptive desiccant that would absorb the moisture at the end of the cycle negating the need for a heating element.
When I worked in a water lab we had a Miele lab washer that used deionized water for the final rinse. Being a $17K to 20K item it was full of wiring and solenoids. I would simply pull up a milk crate and intermittently open the door to see what happened at each cycle. I hope you could find something simple. I have seen many horror stories from Lowe's to Costco where it took months to get technicians out. Have you called their help line? I wish you luck since it is such a downer to get an out of the box failure.

Is this a slick deal? Or just a normal deal? Comes to $1127 with install and haul away and no extended warranty.

Make sure you're using a rinse aid, enable CrystalDry and SANI. Also check the manual on how to enable something called "Intensive Dry."

You can do all of this using the Home Connect App. The utensils and dishes come out blazing hot and most of the plastics are dry. There will be little pools of water on any dishes or cups that have deep dimples on the bottom.

I've also had to get used to staggering lighter items (even metal ones) so that the water jets don't flip them over and end up full of water. There's a slightly learning curve.

Disappointed with this DW
Bought this when it was around $900 at Home Depot
Cons:
Biggest frustration is that by adding a top rack you reduce the space of the second rack, so taller items such as tumblers, tall glasses and plates won't fit.
Essentially the top rack takes away more than it adds and it's a big negative!

Silverware bin is so small - apparently you're supposed to lay out each piece on the top rack
Also, Top rack will basically only fit silverware and lids, making it a super limited space

The middle rack should be adjustable up and down allowing more room for the second rack.

I would recommend looking to Costco. Install and haul away are included, plus the Costco warranty. On top of that, the Costco model # ends in 'UC' (made in Germany), and it has a built in water softener for those with hard water. These units, like the one at Lowe's, ends in 'N' (made in North Carolina), and as far as I am aware they do not include the built in water softener.

These don't have a heating element, they use zeolite crystals to generate heat based on the moisture. The interior of the dishwasher will be very wet but the dishes get dry, it definitely takes getting used to. Also rinse aid is very critical
