Great product but terrible retailer. This was shipped/returned 4 times and at the end I just gave up and cancelled the order.
Reason: This is a very heavy device (47.2 lbs). Manufacturer Packaging is not that good. Retailer just put a shipping label and send it to the house. Every time packaging and the product was damaged. I requested to ship inside an additional layer. Customer care noted my request but no one care.

Reaching out to the customer care and explaining the issue repeatedly is painful.
After cancelling the order - I was expecting product amount to be returned in the originally form of the payment but got an store credit. I had to call few times to resolve it.

On a side note - it was sold at $1600 in July.

I would recommend this product but not the retailer.

I would not be buying something like this from Newegg. Their return policy and customer service is the worst. They are not what they used to be and that is an understatement.

Keep an eye on BestBuy return date, typically it is 14 days only, unless you are higher tier member.
Good call. I did check the app for return date before punching order. Have about a 5 day overlap.

Better yet if you have a current Denon or Marantz that supports the Editor App, give it a shot!
You likely won't feel you need to buy a new one with Dirac, it can be that impressive!

They used to be the best. Since when they changed?
Around 2000-2006 I bought everything from them too. In brief it is under new ownership since then and has gone from best to worst. They are truly the worst now, google it if unfamiliar. Not the same company.

You guys are right. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S (2016 model) back in 2016, and they sent me a counterfeit product. I had paid Samsung to prove it, because they actually wanted proof. The proof came, then they said oh, you bought from our 3rd party and will not honor a return. Im like you asked me to prove it, so i could return? I did what they said and paid extra. I hate Newegg! I never came back and its 8 almost 9 yrs.

People often say these all sound the same. If true comes down to features you need/want. If you need all 11 channels & rated at 150 per channel then the A8A might be the better choice. If you plan to use the pre outs and down need that much power for all your speakers, the 3800 has more features. Here is a comparison of the two. https://www.zkelectronics.com/com...ha-rx-a8a/
they all sound different if you have playback equipment that is refined enough to differentiate the sound. And, some people really can't hear a difference.
