All have held up for at least 4 years and at least 2 have failed after. Sorry, don't have a timeframe on that ….could have been at 5 years could have been at 10 years. Memory with timeframes isn't as good as it used to be.
Was able to repair them with a kit from Suncast that's was around $10 at the time.

The repair involved getting inside the middle of the reel to where the hose attaches. To do so involves "splitting" the plastic reel which are connected by push tabs. It's not difficult….it takes a little time though.

For this price, I'd likely buy new and not go thru the hassles of repair.
Looked around and for the price I bought another. The part metal ones are x3-4 in price.
