I bought an earlier model of this with a 13900kf instead back in October and it's been great so far. I've run into 0 issues

4080 at 1400? Lol

The 4080 is 900$+ alone.

So, you're telling me let's have them just give it to you for free?

Watch a GamersNexus video about buying from these mass prebuilt companies. There are a lot of little issues that can go undetected, like ram not being unlocked for the fastest speed, and other bios type issues. Not saying that's the case with this one, but buying from a boutique builder that guarantees everything is optimized is going to give you the maximum amount of power that you're purchasing. These mass builders don't always do that and so you save money, but may not get all the performance unless you know how to check that the system is correctly set up. YMMV.

NO! Stay away from these new Intel processors they are dying left and right. if you get Intel go 12th Gen or older, you will thank me when your chip doesn't blow up and when Intel refuses to replace it. I have had bad experiences with the Intel RMA.
You just need to undervolt them in the BIOS. Very simple process. Brings the wattage in line with the older ones while retaining the power.

Placed an order Got a text from Walmart saying "Order cancelled due to unusual account activity" Anyone else having trouble? Granted I never bought any high priced items from Walmart before (not sure if this is a factor) and always have built my own PCs.
I had the same issue. They asked me to change my password and reorder, which I did, and everything went through

Fair price for the specs. With the power supply, you can prolly upgrade the gpu to 4070ti. As for the people who yearns a 4080 at this price point, dream on...

The other downside is iBuyPower selling used components claiming they are brand new.
Source? (I'd love to read about that.)

Yup. This could run a 4080.
The issue here isn't just the GPU. The issue is that a poorly configured 14900KF can boost wildly and have an enormous power draw on its own. In a game taxing both CPU and GPU fully, it's not out of the question that a transient spike could take out this system. Now, it's definitely worth noting that hard-limiting the CPU to 200W or less would pretty much solve that, but it certainly calls into question how competent of a company/builder this might be if they overlook something like that.

I noticed it says 32GB RAM in the title on the site, but when you click details it says 16GB. Before you buy it might be a good idea to clarify the actual included memory.

I tried to look up the SKU on their (iBuyPower) website but I could only find the one Y60BI9N4701 which is 13th gen; interestingly Best Buy has one similar but the SKU is Y60BI9N4703.

The case is nice, CPU/GPU okay (hopefully a "real" fix comes for the CPU) but I was trying to find what motherboard this was to see if one could do the microcode bios patch. Otherwise would have to undervolt/underclock.

For people, who don't like this, what are some other options to look at? My pc building days are long gone and there is zero desire to bring them back

There are many boutique builders who list every component you are buying, and guarantee optimization so that you get the actual speed that you're paying for. Their prices are higher, but you're getting a guarantee of speed and quality and the warranty is usually easier to work with because the company is smaller and relies on word-of-mouth and happy customers. I won't list any here because I'm sure people will say that every option has a problem with it, but these builders are out there and a Google search should show you many options.

I would like to know your recommended builders or builders you're familiar with/have heard good things about.

yep, boutique builders will have boutique prices. builders like ibuypower go wholesale, minimal quality + minimal effort = minimal price. higher quality components + more effort matching up parts that will perform better together + higher labor cost = higher price. building yourself is somewhere in the middle depending what you buy.

I'd just wait for a big sale and cash back 10% or higher then pull the trigger on an alienware with a 3 year warranty. let them replace it if anything goes wrong, and if nothing goes wrong you've probably saved 30% of a boutique build.
absolutely disregard anything gamersnexus says, he's still mad he didnt get an alienware for his birthday 20 years ago.

If the pictures are correct on Walmarts page, it seems to be an Asus Proart Creator motherboard. That is a pretty decent board considering it is a pre-built. Other photos I see show a different motherboard. Hopefully they ship what is in the photos.
