Great idea makes this $160 which is an excellent deal. Thank you
Someone else already said but instacart prices are $212 for the iPad. You still get savings but not as great as you think. Still seemed worth it to me over target
The 10.5 pro has some known chip issues. There are services on eBay to repair them - look for motherboard or logic board repair. They brought mine back from sudden death, for under $100. I love my pro and so didn't want to give it up. It's still going strong after the repair.
Which generation? I haven't heard of any issues with the 10.5 pro series.
Bought one of these about a year and a half ago for $250. I only use it for note taking, video watching, and light web browsing it has been pretty good. Recently I have noticed that the updates/use over time have made the system more laggy. When I'm writing with my pencil on the iPad I notice that it's not as smooth and I have to restart the device every day.
If you're buying this for yourself, do yourself a favor and get the new iPad with the better processor. Future updates will make this one much more laggy.
Isn't it…convenient. How you can use the same device doing the same things and it works perfectly. Until and update just messes everything up? How is it that it suddenly can't do the thing it was doing before? Pretty convenient for all these tech companies.
That would be like a Nintendo Switch not being able to play Mario Kart without stuttering all of a sudden and conveniently right when the successor to the Switch came out. How come we wouldn't accept that but we accept this type of behavior from phone and tablet manufacturers.
No, it's not a M1 or M2 chip. I personally would not buy buy an iMac or iPad that wasn't at least an M1 chip. The new iOS pad software needs an M1 for a lot of the new features.
Like what features? It's still an Apple designed arm chip so not sure what you mean.
old model but still works well for basic browsing, email, videos etc
Yes, for the basic tasks. But even used $100 iPad 7th gen can do the basic. I don't understand why people think a brand tablet that has 3 yrs old chip is a bargain at $200. It's better to pay up and buy iPad that has at least M1 chip. Huge performance and future proof difference between A13 and M1 chips.
