This is a brand new redesign including the amp, been out for about a year and half an no complaints of burnt amps, they have also torture tested these subs to make sure they dont have a failure like in the SPL/R subs and now come with 5 year warranty. That said I get it, you got burned by the company and you dont feel like trusting them anymore.

Interesting, if someone has opposing opinions, you get triggered 🤣
Good thing independent testing data does not lie and that SB3000 is WEAK for movies... compared to other options discussed here, especially for the money... 😭

I've personally built more than 10 subwoofers ranging from dual sealed 18" Daytons, ported stereo integrity 18" subwoofers, Bill flitzmauice Tuba HTs, and everything in-between. Not to mention the countless high dollar retail subs including SVS,Monolith,Martin Logan, Paradigm,Velodyne,B&W,JBL Synthesisand other ID subs... but sure I have no personal experience..

Those 3000s are cute, probably why you need so many to compensate for the lack of low end🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mehhh, I've owned tons of sealed subs. Many that outperform the SB3000 including my builds. ALL of them perform the same interms of frequency range... it's called physics.

But sure, keep thinking you have something special 😉

I would wager the opposite, if people knew upfront how these perfom based on CEA2010 standards, not many people would ask for your biased comparisons....
LOL people have been doing measurements for decades, what makes you think people haven't read them prior to coming in here asking for opinions(not just mine)!?

My stupid relative drinks the same blue pill also, even after listening he still questions his ears! 🤪

Tell me again how your pedigree & personal experience between the SB3000 vs 12s is correct over my actual audition/comparison of the two(another dime)!? 🤣

Sadly, most people have no idea what CEA2010 standards are, or that they even exist.
"Pride of ownership" fanboyism easily overrides any hope of learning about objective, measurable performance.
the technical term we use for pride of ownership is "purchase justification". seems to be especially prevalent with some specific brands.

Bought this last time it was this price and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I just wished I lived farther out in the country to rock out. The 5 year warranty should address previous Klipsch woofers amps blowing. These are huge so check to see if you have room to place this without sticking out. Oh, BTW, don't put anything on top of this unless you glue it down, it slowly slopes to the rear and any equipment on top will bounce back until it falls behind it, LOL.

My sad Klipsch SW-115 amp is flaking out Frown
Should I get this or replace the amp (looks like $300 replacement cost). Is this a step up from SW-115? I'm leaning to replacing amp so I don't have to throw out a perfectly good box/subwoofer but open to suggestions, ie $400 more gets me a subwoofer upgrade?

Dang! Just literally now my 9.5 year old RP-112SW died right in the middle of a song and despite attempting CPR, it's pronounced dead. This monster is bigger with more fidelity, cleaner sound and also uses WA-2 wireless module which is a must for me and my placement in the room. Shockingly, it's still available at $699 when you click on the link and I was able to order it! Thank you. Strangely, when you search on Adorama page for RP-1400SW it shows full price of $1399, but through this SD link still adding to cart at $699. Perfect timing!

Yes this is a pretty decent upgrade on fact, and this has been over engineered so failures should be very minimal.

Any additional feedback on this sub from those that have recently purchased?

Not much of a Klipsch guy but really hard to argue with the value of these subs. Other than the RSL 12S what even comes close to this performance at that 7-800 price point? Starke ported 15 when on sale and... anything? VTF3 Mk5 is like 1100 shipped. PB2000 at 900 currently isn't too bad of a value if you like them.

You have to define performance, even then it's complicated!
You have people say CES 2010 data defines it and then that same person believes soundbars are "impressive" to the point that they compete with 5.1 speaker systems!!! Confused3

Unless you actually listen to them within your environment/system they will all vary in performance, in the end they would all perform well & you would not know if the other is better or not.

If you can't argue with this value, get this you'll likely like it's performance & you're done, don't over think it imo.
